Default LT80 - a few pics

Hi,

I just wanted to share a few pics of a repaint I finished this weekend on my son's LT80. I took everything apart, sandblasted all metals and painted red (using rattle can) the frame, shocks, plastics, hubs, handle bar and steering column. Before, the frame was blue and the seat, gas tank, and center plastic was pink, if you can believe that.

There are a few more changes that i would like to make. 1.) new wheels and tires for the front (i can't tell you how much i really hate those tires), 2.) add spacers to widen the front to match the width on the rear., 3.) Replace front shocks with "long travel" shocks., and 4.) replace front and rear sprockets 12t/26t with #40 chain as others have done.

My father-in-law will be fabricating front bumper sometime this week.

Anyhow.........thanks for looking.

Good work. If I can make an suggestion, remove the auto oil injection and mix yourself. Hate to see you put all that work in and have it fail on ya.

Really like your diamond tread heel guards.....they add a nice touch. My sons LT80 has a broken right rear fender in the heel guard area so the previous owner cut a mud flap up to bolt in that area.....works good but doesnt look as nice as your diamond tread.

Overall its a great looking job.....

For extra bling on the cheap (just some stuff my son liked that I did to his)...

shock covers....got mine from ATV Shock Covers, UTV Shock Covers, MX Shock Covers, Neoprene Shock Covers, Shock Covers, ATV Shockcovers, UTV Shockcovers, MX Shockcovers, Neoprene Shockcovers, Shockcovers, ATV Shock Cover, UTV Shock Cover, MX Shock Cover, Neoprene Shock Cover, Sho - I think they were under $30 for all 3

headlight - bought two cheapy driving lights from WalMart and hooked one up so he could ride as the sun went down......also used a red clearance light mounted on the grab rail for a tail light. set of driving lights was $19....clearance light was $3.

handguard protectors......used the TUSK D flexs from Rockymountainatv.com - they ran about $20 or so.....have them in quite a few colors.....also keep tree branches from blooding knuckles.

Rattle can. My father-in-law surprised me/us and painted it while i was at work. I'm sure it will burn off but it made him happy to have partake and help out. He also painted the front stock wheels with the same paint which i thought didn't look too bad for being painted but i still plan on replacing them.
