My son sas a 110 Not sure on brand but from looking seems like the little Chinese ones . I am replaceing the starter and have removed all bolts but it seems to be hanging up. Will we have to take side cover off or does it just have to be twisted another way to get gear out. I just dont want to force it. Any Ideas or diagrams I can go find. Thank you for any help.

You will have to remove the side cover. The starter has a chain sprocket on it. Remove the snap ring and slide the sprocket off the shaft. Some starters have 2 bolts and some have 3 bolts holding them on.
