Default chain

I went & got the #40 chain for the conversion from the 512 on my kfx 80. I get how you hook up the master link, but how in the world do you take the chain down to the correct size? Also, how many links total should the #40 chain be w/ a 13f & 26r?

You can buy a chain breaker.....just bust it down into the correct length.

Now Im a poor fellow.....and I dont own a chain breaker so in the past Ive used my bench grinder or my dremel tool to grind the end of a pin off and pull the extra links out.

Either way works....

Throw it on there and line it up. Cut off what you don't need.

If your running 13/26 gearing see the other thread in regards to loosening the rear bolts in order to get enough slack.
