Some more info would really help. How old is the quad, has motor ever been rebuilt, how long have you owned it, have you done compression check, checked clutch or belt? the list goes on and on, please dont just ask for help with a generic problem like loss of top end,it is almost impossible to guess the problem without more information. We have several really good LT80 guys here (Jack or LT80, is my top pick) that can help you with almost anything, but you have to help us first by listing some more basic information to help us pinpoint the problem. Good luck, and hope we can help you.

How long have you owned the quad? one thing the LT80 is famous for is unburned oil gathering in the big exhaust baffle in the back, and getting plugged up, have you opened the drain on the bottom of the muffler?if a lot of oil comes out, that may be part of your problem. Take the pipe off, does it feel heavier than it should? could be full of oil sludge, best way to clean that out is to build a nice hot bonfire and let it cook for a good long time to burn out any gunk inside (then, of course, you will need to clean and repaint the outside of the pipe,as the heat will remove any paint or coloring from the outside). Does it seem to run good on the bottom end and only lose power on top? that could be jetting, after a high speed run, hit the kill switch and pull the plug to see if you are running rich or lean, and adjust the main jet or needle to get the color to a nice chocolate brown or deep tan. Let us know what you find, shouldn't be real hard to fix, those are nice little quads.
