Default Torn

I'm really torn about this. The thought of battery downtime is mega lame.
The thought of mechanical downtime is mega lame as well.

Can anybody recommend something they've gotten and used? The link to the used Suzuki looked great (craigslist). Gas and most likely reliable.

So with the Suzuki - do these things need a title etc... ( sorry if this is a stupid question )

i would go with the suzuki, i've seen add on remote kill switches on ebay, havent used them personally tho.

you will either get a title, or a bill of sale, it doesnt matter, just make sure if the guy doesnt have the actual title, he writes the bill of sale with the vin number and everything and you'll be fine.

i've had my one son's lt80 for a few years, no real down time other then cleaning the carb every once in a while, air filter, and trans oil.

Sir, If you decide to go with a gas motor, you need a 40 or 50cc machine for your child.
The Suzuki 50 is a great option and is small. It should fit your rider well IMO.
Eton made a 40cc. Cute lil bugger.
Kymco arguably makes the best 50cc (that's not for racing) out there. I think Arctic Cat sells the Kymco.
Most all of the Tiawanese machines are good.
I agree w/the others. Spend a lil extra and put your wrenching time into riding. It's much more enjoyable....
FYI: most mini's have a screw that limits the throttle travel. Making them go slow isn't a issue.

I have a 2003 Bombardier DS 50 that my son has outgrown. Asking $650 obo. Has throttle limiter. I live about 1hr from you, down I-95 Northern Maryland.
