bored 1 over with wiseco piston, .30 off head, boysen reeds, 90 main jet, rear pads shaved to 180g, 4 rollers in front (all new/movable plate and face), new rear clutch spring, 12-26 sprockets ordered but for now all new stalk with new 520 non o-ring, got #40 chain ready for upgrade.
just got it running for the first time tonight after whole rebuild. took me all day and im beat. what should be the break in period for this quad. how long for what throttle % and so on?
what is the bolt with washer in the rear of the muffler by the way? just wondering>

i believe the bolt w the washer in the rear of muffler is a drain plug for excess oil that builds up after a period of time! ive heard of these mufflers getting plugged up! i pulled mine out w the muffler off and let it drain for a day or two but mines an 87 so its a lil bit older lol

Break in on a Wiseco is meticulous.
Do a cpl hot and colds. (2-3 minutes)
Raise rear end and run the throtle up (1/2) for a minute or 2.
Start riding. Up to 3/4 throtle but never sustained for more than 30 seconds for a hour or so.
In and out of the throtle is best.
Ride it.
Remember that long sustained full throtles are your enemy for a tank of gas or 2.
Have fun.

all i can say is wow!!....partially broke it in till ridable so far. mayby gave it 1/4 throttle and this thing feels like its just gonna take off at full throttle. it pures little a lion sleeping. im excited to to see full potential of this thing. surprised at how quiet this thing is. i was really expecting for it to srcream more...
i need wheel spacers for my girl...i can see it being easily rolled by just cruising around a little bit tonight.
also the damn front brake cables were completly desinagrated. never seen anything like that before.
