Default Performance enhancements for KFX80/LT80

Hello,

I currently have a 2000 Suzuki LT80 and I may be pulling the trigger on a 2002 Kawasaki KFX80.

With that being said, can anyone tell me what performance enhancements are available for these machines? I've seen pipes/silencers, but is there anything else you can do to these machines?

Thank you,
IronBear

I can tripple the HP and raise rpm's from 6500 to 13k..with a pipe.
Double the HP and 12k with the stock pipe.
That's my national motor.
I also offer a stage 2 kit (mid range).
You'll find reports in here on both if you look enough.
If interested, please email.

CT sells a package.
Chris Grissom (Suzuki of Paris Tenn) will build a motor for you.
Hetrick works on them from time to time.

I also have a machine (KFX80) for sale. It's all stock now but that could change.
You could get a assembled/running/modded machine.

I'm NOT looking to go into the engine, just a jet kit and exhaust for now. I'm a little green when it comes to these little quads.

Okey Dokey.
Hope I didn't seem pushy.
I hope you don't mind me mentioning::
No jet kit is needed. LT80's are jetted way fat from the factory. I've not needed to rejet on a pipe change.
I recommend the Trinity-Hetrick-CT pipes in that order. They look the same but there are differences. They have the best performance gain IMO.
I have a FMF here. I've not tested it yet on a stock motor.
A DG is a stock replacement pipe IMO. Not worth anything if you expect performance.

Again, not trying to be pushy but FYI: All those pipes cost more (new) than my stage 2 kit and won't get you as much performance.

Ok I know this thread is a little old. LT80 you seem knowledgable. I have two lt80's with the following mods. Fullsize Mx tires, wheel spacers, moose racing foam air filters, oil injection delete, and speed kit from midwestmini.com. How much more performance will I get with a pipe ?

I can attest that all pipes aren't equal i have 3 kfx and one lt 80 every one has a different exhaust setup. One is factory one is factory with the baffle section cutout one FMF exhaust and finally after a month having a TRINITY I installed it today. One word for the Trinity, WOW. The FMF gave good low end grunt been running it for a few years, makes a good trail pipe. Both factory's pipes are good too, the one without the baffle section does seem to give alittle more and sounds good. The Trinity if you like the racing sound, means business. It has a slight lull down low,but it brings the heat after that. This pipe is where the lightened clutch shoes (180 grams) minus two rollers clutch setup is needed , so when the bike launches its in the power. Didnt have my oldest grandson here to test it so i had my younger Grandkids mom hop on and give it hSpam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word Spam wordSpam word *. She's about 115 lbs. and it was like a rocket! It does have the head shaved .030 ,exhaust port polished, ported the inside of reed block boysen reeds and cylinder is at .060 over with a wiseco and a 90 main jet, factory was 92. I've read plenty about the Trinity pipe on the forums, but I am now a believer, I could only imagine adding some Moore Power which will be coming down the pipeway soon.
