What ATV for the Kids?
I've been looking around for an ATV now that the boys have outgrown their Brute Force (powerwheels that is). There are a few possibilities around, but not sure what way to go.
Really nice looking '99 Suzuki LT80 about 3 hours away for $1k
'08 Suzuki LT90 about 1 1/2 hour away for $1300
An '04 Eton Viper 90 about 1/2 hour away for $800
A '11 Can Am DS90 about 2 hours away for $1500
A Polaris Predator 90 unknown year but looks pretty new about 1 hour away for $1k
Of course there's also the local place that has the Chinese standards and can work on them.
The Can Am seems like a really good deal considering how new it is and I'm wondering if it would be worth spending the extra $$$ to have reverse. Hard to argue with the price of a new Chinese ATV but this will need to last through two boys.

I have a 04 or 05 KFX80 for sale.
New brgs/seals. Fresh bore and new piston/rings/etc.
New battery.
New chain and sprockets.
No cracks in plastic altho the tank sticker is wrinkled.
This is a like new machine that would serve your needs for years to come.
I've been asking 1200 obo.
For 1k I'd be happy to meet you on I71 just north of Columbus at the Skyline Chilli...
Email me and I'll send a pic.

I agree with moose, avoid the Chinese cheapies...I however picked up a Eton Viper 90 for my kid and have been very happy with it. The company that makes the Eton also does most of the brand name kid quads (90 cc) and even the Polaris Sawtooth. They are a Chinese company but the quality is completely different then the mail order specials. I paid $700 for the Eton (original price paid at the dealer was $2400, I was given original receipt). You can turn a dial on the 'hidden' cdi box to control the top speed).

I have a SMC LRX 90cc (Same as Eton 90cc different plactics, I believe.) already been through 2 boys then 2 girls and now my 10yr old and 5yr old fight over it. The thing is built like a tank and goes damn near anyplace. My 10 year old prefers the automatic transmission over the Yamaha's shifter.
