Question Help!!!!!!!!

Hey ATV enthusiasts, I have a question for you. How much do you think two SUNL four wheelers are worth? They are both used, one is a 50cc and the other 75cc. They both need a new battery, but other than that are in good condition. Anything helps.

Sincerely, Wes

It totally depends on where you are.

I read all the time about people getting great deals on name brand quads for a song. Yet where I live 25 year old broken name brand quads sell for unbelievable and outrageous prices.

I've seen a post on this forum offering a 110cc chinese quad to a good family for free - and got no takers .

And then, my neighbor wanted to sell his three year old 150cc chinese quad with 2500 miles on it after he finally agreed that he was getting too old for this. It took three hostpital stays, and me refusing to weld his quad back together until he agreed to sell it and stop this nonsense. I eventually listed it for him on Craigs list for $800. That was a year ago. It sold the next day at full price. The phone was ringing off the hook. To be completely correct he did throw in his helmet, riding boots and pickup truck loading ramps, but I thought that $800 was a highball negotiating starting point. I was amazed. He paid $1200 for the helmet and quad brand new. The loading ramps were another $70 new. The riding boots were given to him and were really ugly.

So check out craigs list in your area. Make some phone calls and pretend to be a buyer asking pointy questions to see how well the quad is being represented in the add. That is the best guide to how much your quads are worth in your area...

some chinese quads are used as "hand me down" quads as kids outgrow them and seeing how they're cheap to begin with. of course batteries are only $40, so if the quads are running and that's all they need, you should be able to get $150-300 each. brand new i think those might've gone for $500. so you can adjust from there. you'll just need to do what ever your conscience will let you do. have a good'en.

Welcome to the forums Wes.
If I remember correct, the sunl's were not that bad of machine. 2 strokers with tons of parts available.
If with a new battery they run well and you wiggle all the moving pieces and it's all tight I'd say they are worth a fair price.
A fair price needs to be decided on by you. Compare prices to other quads and their prices. If there are no other quads to compare to, these Sunl's are worth a lil more cuz of availability.
FYI: I sold a completely gone over 03 KFX80 for a grand.
Maybe that will give you something to compare to.

I feel that no matter what the price. The smiles will make it all worth it.
