2003 Suzuki Lt 50 wont start
I just purchased a 2003 suzuki lt50 for my son. The guy i bought it from said it had been sitting for a couple yrs and it pry wouldnt hurt to clean out the carb and drain the old gas. I took it home and it would run but only for like 10 to 15 minutes and then it would start dieing and sputtering. It would also never idle, you had to keep it pegged or it would quit.
After running it like this for a few days i decided to take carb off and clean it out. I soaked it in cleaner for a few hrs and took gas tank off and cleaned it out and lines. Everything was spotless. After putting everything back on quad, i cant get it to run. I have spark, it almost seems like its getting too much fuel and flooding itself out. Ive had carb off 20 times cleaning and putting back on, nothing. It has to be something i did, it ran before i took it apart, and now nothing. Does anyone have any ideas what could have gone wrong, or what the settings on carb should be set at?
Thanks

ok, my Dad now thinks that its maybe something to do with the petcock. He said he had that off while I was gone and cleaned it up, but noticed that the membrane inside had 2 little slits in it after he was done. He doesn't know if they are suppose to be there or if he did it. Could this be why we are getting so much fuel trying to start it? the few places we have called said you have to buy the whole petcock for $88, and can't just get the little membrane piece. Just curious your guys thoughts. Again, the spark plug is soaked when pull it out after trying to start.
Thanks
