Default Eton 90 carb mod?

New member here, been lurking for years and sucking up some great info from you people. I have a 04 eton 50 viper that I did a bunch of work to. First was removing the oil injection and cutting the green wire on the CDi. I found a great package deal on Craigslist and I got a 24mm keihin carb with Koso intake and reeds and an FMF pipe.i then ordered a clutch kit and new throttle cable from Hetrick racing and finally put on a 70cc bore kit and 5" wheel spacers front and back. My 4 year old rips donuts and trail rides this all day long with me, thank god for the wheel spacers!
I recently scored on a really clean 05 eton viper 90 for 450$ off Craigslist for my 7 year old. I want to start doing some mods to this quad but I doubt I'll ever find that package deal like on my sons 50. The thumb throttle on this thing is really stiff and my son complains after 5 minutes of riding. Today i took it apart and tried greasing it up but its still stiff. I'm figuring if I do away with the oil injection and install a new single throttle cable this will surely loosen that thumb throttle a lot, right? I had also bought a clamp on uni pod for the 18mm stock carb because the air box seems so restrictive. My question is would you guys try jetting the stock carb and putting on the uni pod filter or would you buy a 20mm carb to match the new filter.
Thanks guys

So I removed the oil injection today, I cut the throttle cable at the Y going to the oil pump, this helped with the stiffness of the thumb throttle. Now it's just pulling the 1 spring at the carb and not 2 springs.

Why remove the oil injection? Afraid it will fail? Or for performance?

Yeah I removed it because I was afraid it would fail one day, Mostly because It also helped with the stiffness of the thumb throttle for my son.
