Default carburetor question pz16 vs pz19

My son's has two ATVs, a 90 cc and a 125. The 90 uses a pz-19 carburetor while the 125 uses a pz-16. The 16 and 19 refer to the size of the intake opening in mm. Why would the larger engine use a smaller carb?

Default Carbs

I have been wondering the same thing. I have used them interchangeably and have had no problems. Did you ever figure out the answer to this question?
Thanks

Missed this the first time around.. Id guess the Chinese used what was available and or cheapest at the time..

Have you had the carbs apart and seen the jet sizes?

Mixture screw 1.5 turns out and idle screw 2 turns out would be a good start.
