LT50a cylinder head leaking

Default LT50a cylinder head leaking

I replaced the cylinder head gasket onto the lt50 I torqued it up to 8 ft lbs like it says in my manual,however its leaking air at the joint exhaust side I figure the head is distorted is this fixable if so how?

Did you check the cylinder studs? Tighten the studs using double nuts to see if any are loose or stripped,pulling up which could cause this. If tight then could be a bad gasket,head or cylinder problem as you say.

What prompted you to change the head gasket, was it leaking.
