Default How to bleed 2 stroke pump

I'm trying to bleed the 2 stroke pump but I'm not able to do it,either that I'm not doing it right

What I'm doing is running the quad for a few mins and opening the bleed screw which I'm assuming oil should flow from the hole which its not

I would rather not disable the pump but I may but that's a last resort

Thanks for any help

Open the bleed screw, place a shop towel under the area. Open the oil tank cap and check also that the oil tank vent line isn't kinked. At least most have the vent line.If it isn't stopped up oil should start flowing out within a short period of time. If it doesn't, check the oil line from the pump to the tank first for any blockages.

The oil is getting to the pump no bother, I had it in the shop today but the guy wasn't too clued up on kids quads, he seems to think the pump is ok but no oil was coming from the bleed screw

Another way to tell is pull the oil line from the carb, squeeze the end. Should be a little oil residue if the pump's working ok.

Okay... Then "LT80" should be along to help you on this one.I'm used to the Taiwan and Korean machines that had the line from the pump to the carb..

I'm not a 50 guy but I looked at the fiche(s).
I'll presume the bleeder bolt you mention is on the top of the pump. It seems to go thru a banjo fitting then a rubber line going to:::

Well it goes in somewhere and comes from the pump, pull it off and check for oil.
I looked and looked and I didn't see where the oil went in the motor. The cylinder fiche shows a "vent" tube. I'm wondering if this is where the oil goes in.

No, theres a crosshead screw which u undo for the bleed screw, there's not much u see from outside the engine it's all hidden in the clutch case, sort of like a canal which goes go the cylinder

If the little buggers haven't changed that much from the first ones in 1984,I think the oil deliver line's at the cylinder base.I ought to remember because I bought my son one when he was 5,but too many years have flown by since then. See if item 7 leads to the pump??This one's bugging me too.. Suzuki Lt50 1984 (e) Cylinder - schematic partsfiche
