Don't know if this one would work or not. I'd always check as you can't always trust what the seller says it will fit..https://www.ebay.com/itm/CDI-Box-Ign...1ZVFWE&vxp=mtr

Could be that someone has already gone for the cheaper replacement, you wrote it looks new. We had a Honda 300 traded in that had rev problems, after eliminating the carb I tried a new CDI and it cured the fault. On checking the one I took off, it was for the wrong year of 300, don't know if it was a dud, or because someone had fitted the wrong CDI that it wouldn't rev.

Thats the one I've been looking at. It says it fits 2010 to 2016. I need the one for 2007 to 2010, Polaris lists a different part number.
My brother got the 4 wheeler for me at an auction. I told him I'd go $400 on it and it got it for $200. Even if I spent $135 or whatever it is, on a CDI, its still not a bad investment in the bike, and I'm sure I could still probably turn a profit on it when my kids are done with it.

Yes the current CDI is extremely clean, new looking, while the rest of the wiring in that area has a coating of dirt. The CDI does have a number stamped on it similar to the CDI from the Outlaw 90 so I think its a factory part. The bike also ran fine for awhile then developed this rev limit issue. So I think if the CDI was wrong the whole time it wouldn't have worked at all.

2007 Polaris 50 shows two different part #s for the cdi. The original and the updated one and either should work. 0453893,0454723.The 35 buck one I listed shows it should work(0454723),but again it may not.The Polaris oem cdi is around $135 bucks,so the choice is yours.

Dang! Thanks! I was not seeing both part numbers listed for 2007. I figured it was maybe just a revised timing curve or something minor. I'm going to buy the ebay one. I'll report back but I've got high hopes!

Finally got the aftermarket CDI. The seller took 3 days to ship and there were multiple shipping delays. But it's all good! Runs great! It's slightly larger than the original part but comes with a new rubber mount so no big deal. Thanks for the help!

Glad it's up and running. Would help if you posted the part # and brand info. This would help others that may some day run into this same problem.
