Default Ongoing intermittent problem starting Artic Cat 90

I have a 2008 model Artic Cat 90 I bought used that has been having issues with initial start up. Yesterday my little girl had the start switch pushed to off and kept trying to start the machine and flooded it real bad. I took off the air filter and underneath it was a significant amount of fuel sitting in the air cleaner box. I drained all of the fuel out of the box and cleaned the air filter as well. The atv would start and idle after that but anytime the throttle was applied it would immediately die. I took the spark plug out just to ensure it was getting sufficient spark and it was firing real well. I let it sit for a while and came back out and it cranked up and ran for about 5 minutes and then died. I really think there is some issue with the auto choke but I don't know enough about it to diagnose what might be the issue with it. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would say carb is due for a good cleaning and double check the choke is functioning
