49cc Mini Quad clutch
#1
Just bought my boys a used 49ccMini Quad, it runs great but every now and then either the clutch or rear axel locks up (not sure which is actually locking up). All I have to do is roll it backwards a few feet to get it to unlock but still a pain in the butt. Do I need to replace the clutch or is it something to do with the rear axel itself.

You need to isolate the fault when it is there. Check the chain, if it goes tight on the underneath run when you try to roll forwards, the fault lies in the engine, could even be a slack chain jamming on the front sprocket. If there isn't tension on the chain, but the axle is locked, the fault is in the rear axle, most probably brake.

So I pulled it apart, the rear caliper was loose, tightened that up, chain was loose tightened that up. Ran great for about 20 minutes now it locked up again, chain is still tight and so is the break caliper... what should I look at on the engine. I’m not great with mechanics but I’m a quick study and you tube is great.
