Any tire that has similar dimensons to the originals (and fit on 8" rims) should work. The original tires are 19x9.5-8 but I think you could fit 20x10-8's in there or maybe even some 21" tires. Do some measuring first (be sure to put someone/something heavy on it to measure with the suspension loaded).

I thought about getting better tires for my kid's machine, and probably will at some point, but they don't have any trouble with their tires where we ride. The bigger problem is clearance.

A nice place to look for tires online is Cedar Rapids Tire. They have a nice "tire size" selector that lets you browse and see what's available (from them) for 8" rims rather easily.

I see. That will be a little tougher. First you need to find the bolt pattern for the stock wheels. This shouldn't be to hard as the dealer can tell you this. I think it's a pretty standard bolt pattern, though. My guess is that you'd then want aluminum rims to offset the additional weight of heavier tires. I am pretty sure I've seen or heard of one of these little things running Douglas Aluminum rims so I know it can be done.

The stickler will be the more agressive tires. This rim size is more often associated with sport machines, which don't get into the sticky mud that often so mud or ag tires in this size will be hard to find. Some internet searching brought me to some Super Swampers that were close (at 22x12.5-8). These are 3" over the stock tires in height and 3 inches wider too, so 1) The SP90 may not be up to turning them and 2) They probably wouldn't fit. This can be solved by getting a longer swing arm and wider axel (these are available for the mini's, see Miniquadracing.com) and by souping the engine up some. My SP90, for instance, is now a SP110. Not a cheap prospect, though, if all you want to do is run it in the mud (try telling that to my son, though...whew!).

Did some more searching before I finished posting this and found some Blackwaters at 20x12-8. These would fit without extending the swing arm, but would probable need to be spaced out from the centerline somehow (get rims with an offset different than stock should help).

If you do find something, let us all know. I have two more sons that will be riding (or abusing) the SP90 and upgrades are likely.

a 20x12x8 tire is way too big for a 90. if you get in the mud you would have a hard time turning them and then you risk clutch damage. douglas makes a 6x8 and a 6x6 aluminum rim. your bolt pattern is probably 4 on 110mm which is the same bolt pattern as the rear of the honda 250r, 300ex and 400ex.

go to wrh racing.com, that is billy holts website. he races the mini polaris and has a lot of hipo parts for them. you could send me an e-mail and i could forward you about 6 or 8 mini quad performance parts sites. trinity racing just ported, shaved my sons cylinder, cut and balanced the piston. added a spacer to the cylinder to align the ports better.i put it together today and it rips. 3 times the stock horsepower. if you want them sites my e-mail is markvette@webtv.net
