Are there any? I haven't had any luck finding Cannondale dealers online. Unless of course I am looking to buy a bycicle.

They are in San Diego and Alba has them. I think they actually have some still in crates. I saw one on the showroom floor a couple weeks ago. They advertise in the trader every week. For instance in the November 14-20th issue they have a Cannondale Glamis retail $7093 for $5599. They are selling them cheap. You should check it out

I found an ATK dealer in Ocean Side that sells their version of the speed for $7495 + assembly + frieght. They call it the ATK440VR and they have an OR for $2k more that has a trick suspension set up. Nobody know much about the bikes yet but ATK is saying they took the cannondale platform and improved on it by fixing the reliability issues. Im not sure if this is true or just sales talk but im more than a little interested.

They are doing a version of the South Bay Moto Dependability Upgrade to them, they should be solid machines afterwards. You could also buy any ole Cannondale and get the same thing done to it for like 1000 bucks straight from ATK. The second option is probably a lot cheaper.

The option ATK offers is 2k. You get a 450 sleeve and piston, stock is 432cc. You get higher revving rod and crank bearings. You get the mod to get into neutral easier. You get the quiet kit, reduces engine noise by 30%, the stud update and trans update kit, the motard 5th gear, I paid 290+ 120 installation at my dealer, crank rebalanced if necessary, the whole motor is checked for anything that could be going bad inside, and some other things that ATK won't disclose due to the potential of people copying Wades/ATKs work. Turn around time is like 3 days.. Check www.atkusa.com on the right hand column about halfway down in the "Cannondale modifications" topic..

I meant the dependability upgrade. Not everyone will want the motard 5th gear as it cuts top speed significantly (over 5MPH I've heard). I didn't notice THAT big of a gap between 4 and 5, surely nothing the 40HP+ Cannondale couldn't handle.

If you just do the dependability and keep it at 440cc instead of 450 ( I am still not sold that it is worth 700 bucks to make less than 20cc's, you could probably gain more power from a K&N air filter for 40 bucks) you are only looking at 1100 bucks. That can make a $3500 Cannondale into a dependable $4600 Cannondale, which is all I really would want. When I said a thousand bucks, thats all I meant.

8 grand out the door from the ATK dealer
or

myself doing a lil work, and not having the options I don't need for $4600

I'll pocket my 3400 happily if I'm in that situation.

I'm not sure you can pic and choose what you want on the kit.. At least that's how I understood it from Frank White when I was there. They broke the prices and options down so you see what your getting for your dollar. Maybe I was hearing incorrectly though. I'll have to ask Frank again... Thomez now that I have the Motard 5th gear it makes the old gearing seem so sloppy it's ridiculous. Get the gear. It will pull much harder. I added two teeth on the rear and my top speed is still the same as stock now except it pulls harder through each gear.. I edged the YFZ out by .5 mph and the YFZ has stock gearing and tires..
