Should i buy a cannondale
#1
Ok you guys i need some opinions. I have an oppourtunity to buy a 02 speed that has been updated with ATK parts for 2600. This seems like a good price to me and i can afford it. Now I have heard different things about these quads and i want to get opinions from people that know them. I know that posting it on a cannondale website will get mostly positive messages, but i really want to know whether you would buy it. I heard that they are very fast, but unrelialbe. Please dont yell at me for calling your quad unreliable thats just what i heard. I sure hope you guys can come up with ssome things that will really help me. (By the way, right now i am planning on getting it)

Find out what updates it has if they don't know what an update is then watch it!!
Over on c-dale riders there is a list to look for on the tech page.
they can be reliable and most are reliable just when you go on a fourm you will find more of the problems that few have had and you never hear about the good ones.
I own two right now and love them. Of course you need to do more matience on them then a normal quad but there has not been a truely RACE quad out of the box other then the cdales.

Exactly what updates were done? If it still needs the crank updated can you do it yourself? Factor in $300 for a D&M kit. $200 to update the crank rod bearing.
Cannondales can be made reliable as well as incredably fast but you have to be willing to do a little legwork and studying. Every quad that came from the factory will have a limited life span without a thorough engine teardown and inspection.

They are kind of like corvettes . Once you ride one you have to have it.
