Default tie rod adjustment on ASR +2' a-arms

i just bought a set of ASR +2" racing a-arms from atk, and a set of 19' ohlins front shocks. i had the front end of the ground on a bucket when adjusting and setting the tow in. then when i went to set it on the ground the tires turned out about 5-6 inches. i was wondering if you set the tie rods when its sitting at normal ride hight or what? Also the tie rods seem to hit the frame when bottomed out, should the tie rods be bolted down from the top of the spindle and stering stem, or be bolted to the bottom of each?

any help would be appreciated
thanks,

If your tie rods are hitting the frame ?
1 your steering stem is not made for long travel. You will need to move the mount on base of the stem down a half inch or get a newer steering stem.
2 Or you mounted the tie rods on wrong. They go on the top of the steering plate and the bottom of the spindle holes.

what about adjusting the tie rods, should i do it when its on the ground at normal ride hight. when the front end was off the ground i stet the toe in, then i put it on the ground and compressed the suspention, as i would do that both tires would turn out about 5-6 inches. also when i bought it from the dealer the tie rods were mounted on top of both spindle and steering stem.

Well flip your tie rods to the bottom on the spindles before you get in an accident. They should be in the same arc as the a arms. That will cure the toe changing problem.I set the toe with half my body wieght on the seat and pegs as the quad sits on the ground. Thats where it will be when riding most of the time. And never go to that dealer ever again.

that did fix the problem ,thanks. now i got another question, how should i route the brake lines? when i route them over the top of the a-arms like stock they seem to be to tight, then if i route them under the top a-arm there seems to be to much slack.
