Default 2007 Outlaw 525 IRS Top Dead Center Help Please!

I have the 2007 Outlaw 525 with the KTM engine. Could someone please tell me the easiest way to get Top Dead center so I can do a Valve Adjustment myself. I'm new to working on my quad. I bought the repair manual but it does not go into detail on finding TDC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i never worked on this bike before but the procedure should be the same for any engine. first you have to get the pistion on TDC i would recommend putting a long screw driver or something like it down through the park plug hole so you can feel the top of the piston the slowly turn the engine until the piston comes up as far as it goes before going back down. then check ur valves if they are slack then it is ok to adjust the valves if they are tight the you got to turn the engine one revolution because your on the wrong stroke. you must be on the compression stroke where both intake and exhaust valves are CLOSED then it is ok to adjust your valves. hope this helps
