Well we see that Honda isn't planning to release a new quad with their new 450 engine. Good news for Cannondale- they will have the class to themselves, unless Suzuki bases a quad off their recent dirt bike.

Even if they chose to compete I'm not so sure I'd rush out to buy one. Cannondale is committed to the sport quad market, and I get the feeling that Honda's committed to the bottom line. Don't get me wrong, to be successful in business you must be that way to a certain extent. Cannondale on the other hand is supporting our sport by sponsoring a racing series and a factory backed quad race team. They're customer support is outstanding, and I'm going to support any company that seems committed to taking care of me. They are supporting our sport, so I'm going to continue to support them.

I 100% agree. We should all support a company like Cannondale that gives the sport what it wants. I applaud everything I have heard of this company and will probably deal with them in the future.

This is good news for c'dale. I think it will be good for me too. Called the dealer today about the 01 FX400 he has had since April. He finally got the recall work done and indicated a willingness to deal on the 8,000 retail.
Ya'lls enthusiastic reports on your Cannon experiences have been a great help to me. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks!

This is just some of my thoughts. I think Cannondale caught every other manufacture off gard. While the others were making improvements and testing out conventional bike designs,Cannondale was working on a whole new concept of bike design with EFI and an aluminum frame. I've read somewhere before that it takes 3-4 years to put a quad out because of the time that it takes to come up with a base design to start with, and the the R&D process. I dont know if the time frame is true or not,but if it is then that would mean while Cannondale was working on their new bikes and quads. Honda had just put out the 400EX. They may have set back awhile and not started on another quad. Yamaha would have been working on the Raptor. I'm with Awesome88250R on this one, just look at what Cannondale is doing for us ATVers. They put out a great product (that will change how ATVs are designed), make improvements along the way (free of course),and have the best customer support and warranty.

I'm getting my new front end parts put on Tuesday, and I can't wait to see how much it improves the handling. I'm going to have the toe out set to '0' and the suspension adjusted as well. I talked to guy from Graydon Proline and he said the front end improvements make a big difference. He also added, like CdaleRacer, that the new tie rods are super trick. Can't wait to see them for myself.

I am a 2 stroke guy, right now i own a Banshee and an old TRX 250R that i am totally rebuilding but i must admit that if i had to buy a 4 stroke quad i wouldnt hesitate one bit,i would go for a Cannondale Moto4.Cannondale is trying real hard to give true sport quads addicts what they really want and i hope they will succeed in thier quest.Till last year the only real true high performance quad outhere was the Banshee (i am talking about quads you can buy brand new) and even the Banshee is highly detuned in its stock form.I bought my first quad 12 years ago it was a brand new LT 250R at that time the sport quad market was awsome you could choose between the Suzukis Lt 250R,Lt 500R,Honda TRX 250R,Kawasaki Tecate 4 and the Yamaha Banshee, right now as far as i am concerned there is only one company that produces real sport quads and it is Connondale.

The 400EX,DS 650 or Raptor arent true sport quads they are fun quads but unless you mod them you wont get the excitement that an all out racer can give you.So screw Honda,Suzuki,Kawasaki and to some extend Yamaha (even though they had the ***** to keep selling the Banshee) and best of luck to Cannondale they deserve it.

I think everyone should check out the C-dale site... If you haven't seen the 2002 expo pictures... You should. They have some good shots of the speed and moto... Man, the moto looks SWEET!!

Cannondale is awesome. If I had the money would have one in a second. 400ex's are a lot cheaper though. Go Team NAC's CANNONDALE.
