The suzuki boys are pretty MAD at me

the boys in yellow are plain old pissed right off about my bad mouthing THE ALL-POWERFUL ZZZZZZZ400 and then saying how awesome cannondale is for raising the bar and going with technology, a powerful engine, a dual spar aluminum frame, EFI, i could go on and on... anyways, some of them are getting pretty pissed about my constructive critisism. Can you spell c-l-o-s-e-m-i-n-d-e-d

Peak HP isnt all there is to it. Look at the PEAK HP of the DS 650 and the 660 Raptor. The FX 400 C-Dale is still faster from bottom to top. I cant see any stock current, carb. fed quad getting the Cannondales out of the gate! Unless a manufacture builds like a 700cc or bigger,or bigger than 250cc 2-stroke. No one knows what the new Suzuki will be like, but I just cant see a 400cc 4-stroke, carb. fed, non aluminum frame, any quad, matching or beating the C-Dales powerplant! I'm glad Suzuki is building the new quad. I know it will sell, and thats good for everyone in the sport. But there is only one manufacture thats on top of performance and technology, before long every one will see this. Most of all the other manufactures if they already havn't. And its hard for me to believe they dont know this already.

Why couldn't a steel framed quad beat an aluminum framed fuel injected bike? Dirt Bike Magazine chose the YZ426F over the MX432, it was an easy choice when the bike first came out. I dunno now that they have worked out some of the bugs.

You know, it would've been nice if Suzuki had used the DR-Z400 engine in their new quad. But they didn't. They used the DR-Z400S engine in it. Why does that make a difference, you may ask. Well, the DR-Z400S is an on road off road bike. And the engine has been detuned to be able to use the lowest octance gas because it's cheaper and it's been given a smaller and different kind of carburetor to make it more fuel efficient. And as a result, it has less power. So you're not going to be beating any Cannondale's in a drag race. But you won't be spending as much on gas.
As far as the 426 beating Cannondale's bike, last time I checked, the Raptor was a 660, not a 426.
