To any of you guys that own a C-Dale im going to be getting a new quad soon and want to get either a Speed or Cannibal so when is the Speed going to be available. And have any of you had any major probs with your C-Dale or any fuel injection problems. Thanks in advance for any replies.

I haven't heard anything on when the new quads will be avaliable, but it shouldn't be very much longer. So far so good with the EFI, even if it were to get cloged up or anything I'll still never go back to a carb. fed engine, the difference is amazing. I did fry a clutch, but the key word is I. I didn't have it adjusted properly so it was MY fault not Cannondales. The good thing though is that they fixed it for me under warranty, yeah the warranty that dosen't cover the clutch or any part that has normal wear. The warranty that doesn't cover abused parts! Now I'm not saying all you guys go out and trash your C-Dale and expect them to fix it for you,but this does say something about this manufacture caring for the customer. IMO and most everyone else that has a C-Dale will tell you that their warranty is hands down the best ever.

So CdaleRacer, what was improperly adjusted that the clutch failed? Was it the Actuating Arm adjustment? I'm planning to tackle mine before my next ride as it is not at the "12 o'clock position". Got any tips?
To BomBan's ?, I have only about 15 hours on mine and have no problems, just a light oil drip from the res. vent tube after hard riding. I still don't know what to think about that. I am crazy for the bike though.

The original clutch plates in the FX400 were aluminum. They have since been changed to steel. The aluminum ones wore out very quickly especially under former two stroke riders who use the clutch a lot. One thing to remember: you don't need to use the clutch at all except for stopping and starting (I know there are situations in tight woods and sometimes slipping it out of corners etc..). This will not hurt the transmission. You can shift under full power without the clutch and the transmission will last a long time. The transmission takes more abuse from jumping (over-revving in the air, landing on full throttle) than it does from shifting.

It does shift pretty easy without the clutch. Anyone else not use the clutch when shifting between gears? This would be very helpful as the clutch lever is pretty far away from the bar.

I brought my fx back to the dealer, they took it in with no
questions asked.I am going to call them today to ask about
steel clutch plates. As for rideing without the clutch,I use
my clutch in almost every corner on the mx tracks. So I hope
this don't become a problem.
