ok first off the raptor diff does not run with the can .. i ride with a 2001 raptor moded air box jetted full pipe and a few other things i also ride with a fx400 ,2 moded shee,s and i ride a ds stocl moded end cap .. in the drag races me and the can are the closes but i use,ll take him but not by much .. the raptor is fast and has a lot of power but is not geared on the top end like the ds .. the can gets me every time out of the hole by 2 or 3 quads but when i hit 3 gear i start pulling on it .. then most of the time i pass him .. there are time a lose ... but on the street i take all the drag races because every one else can,t keep there front down .. but in top end my buddy,s shee takes me .. ill be 5 gear pined bouncing of the rev limiter and he passes me .. so infact the shee is the fastes in top end .. but in the drags there not all that .but me and my friends all talk s*&amp;^ saying who,s is the fastes .. so don,t stress your selfs on the forum .. if u see one on the trails race it .if u win .. u win if u losse go buy some modes .. but just have a good time at all time .. i no i do ...

ps .. sorry can .. but the raptor and the ds have big bore kits .. the 720 trinity raptor is going to take any can .. and so will knutz,s 760 ds..

 

Well, my dream is to race GNC, you can't race a 660 in a 250 2-stroke class. I guess a lot of it depends on what kinda riding you're in to.

 

YoDaddy, you are 100% correct. It all depends on what riding you do.

 

thats very true .. but it would be nice to see some one race a ds in that .. but i don,t think it will ever happen ....to big and heavyfor that type of racing .. but great for every thing else ...

First of all, unless you have 20 grand in your bike, and another for spare parts, you might as well stay at home. Why do you think everyone rides a honda? Not cause they are the best bike, Hell, look at even an A class rider. How many parts are really Honda? the gears and cases at most. Everything else is aftermarket, and, when stuff breaks, and it will, what parts do you think are available? Sure as heck wont be cannondale parts. Heck, I have half a raptor in spare parts and I guarantee there will be a time I drive 10 hours and still dont get to race because some obscure thing breaks. Why do I know this? Because I've raced the series several times when it was still MX and TT's on a Curtis Sparks sponsored Laeger Pro Trax. But hey, If you have the cash, come out and play, and I'll see you there at Macon for Round one. Heck, maybe if I'm bored I'll help you look for a new flywheel or piston or something. Corndog, no offense to you, I like you cause you're backin me up, but you don't have to have a R or Dale fully modded to be serious about racin. Raptor 18, check out Kory Ellises CANNIBAL and cannondales website under motorsports under whats new. <u>STOCK ENGINE</u> and thats a GNC Pro class. Also, I know it takes a lot of cash, I'm addin on as I go.Oh and by the way Leager, Lonestar, HMF Engineering, Big Gun, Roll Design. Just thought I would list some companies starting aftermarket products for the Dale. The FX was a bust... Cannondale really just got the ball rolling here a few months ago, expect to see more. The Cannondale is so much better. Last Saturday I was getting a 2002 Raptor for $5500 from some guy but his wife sold it. I was really mad so I went to the Cdale dealer and was really glad I did not get it!
