I really don't want to spend over $7000 on a quad, so maybe I will get the FX400. Can somebody that has one tell my if they really do have scarey handling and land jumps weird. Are the new Cannondales faster than the FX400? I was looking at one with 8 hours on it but the oil has not been changed once. Do you think that FX400 is worth $5000?

 

If this person is a close friend of yours, I'm sorry, but that guy is an idiot. You should change the oil after the first hour of use. When I took the filter screen out of the tranny, it had so much crud on it, it wasn't even funny. The same with the oil filter. If you do buy it, make sure you get the owners manual with it, and change the oil right away, pull the oil filter and Transmission filter screen out and put a new one in or clean it with an air compresor. I haven't ridden the old FX's so I can't say if they really handle that bad. Also, don't be afraid to ask why he is selling, and look him straight in the eyes to see if he is bull sh!ting you or not. Hope I helped.

 

Make sure if he bought it new the updates were done....Ball joints ,spindles and bushings..If they were done , and it wa taken care of, its probably well worth the 5000.00....I'm trying to strike a deal with a local Cdale dealer on a left over fx as well.....good luck.
