Hey fellas, it seems like there are a lot of Texans in this forum and I need your help. I'm in the military and will be stationed in Wichita Falls within a month and I need to know where to ride. I've been looking on the net and found out about a ride park near Longview, is this place any good? I have been to the Red River ride park and I thought it was awesome. I'll be coming from Las Vegas and I've been riding the dunes for a long time now, are there any dunes in Texas? I'll be riding a 250R and I'm enterressted in doing some woods racing, anything you know of around there? Any and all of your knowledge would be greatly appreiciated.

Oh, and which place is the best in your opinion?

Thanks, JP

There are some great dunes north of Wichita Falls in Oklahoma at Little Sahara State Park outside Waynoka. Here are a few web sites:

Hey man, Little sahara is great and also Kermit dunes in west Texas. and I think when you say Red River riding area you mean Meunster TX. which is real close to Wichita Falls. I know they woods race in southeast Oklahoma but I don't know when exactly. Ther is also a good area to ride in OKC( lots of trials). Anyways If you ever want to go riding in my neck of the woods(little sahara)let me know, I would be HONERED to ride with one of our nations best. Later.

b00gerbub, there are quite a few places around to ride. Meunster, Little Sahara, and a load of MX tracks. Since mainly all the riding I do is on track, I'm not sure about all the "other" types of riding around, but there are more Motocross parks than you could shake a stick at. I talked to a guy that lived in Witchita before, and he said there are ALOT of people that ride 250R's out there. I'm sure if you haul it around town a couple days, someone will say hello. If you get really bored sometime, you should meet us at the MX tracks around! I think we will be running the NTSS(north texas night series), and many other series around East Tx. and Southern Ok.

Briansgi, I talked to Johnny yesterday. He gave me 5 or 6 stickers and some cards. He was on HIS bike that time. The white and red one? That thing is sweet. The carbon fiber ESR pipe made my day!

His quad is cool isn't it!! It will be for sale in September along with his practice 250R which is also sweet. I don't know how much longer we're going to be able to keep him on a modified R, he said Suzuki's been in negotiations with him to ride next year on their new quad. I asked him which chassis they were going to use and he said the stock one!! I just laughed and he smiled!! The only reason he would do it is for the full ride and alot of $$$$. I hope he gets whatever he wants cause he's a great guy!

Brian, I think he was on his practice bike. Number 55? Well, I walked up to his van, and I said hey man, I'm David, Brian said you'd bring me some stickers. He was like.. Brian? There is no Brian. I just kinda smiled and said Brian Smith, from Owasso. OOOOH, BRIAN! Hang on, lemme get you some stickers.

Riding a Zuki eh? I figure'd he'd go Cannondale. Oh well! Good luck to him! He offered to buy my R motor.. I just kinda smiled and said no, but I will let you put it back together.
