How do these C-dale's compare to the 2-stroke 250's? I'm curious.....

These c-dales look cool. I've taken quite and interest in them BUT I'm still not convinced they'll out perform the great buzzbombs of the late 80s and early 90s, namley the Honda TRX 250R, the Kawasaki KXF 250 Tecate 4 and the Suzuki LT250R Quadracer.
For those who don't remember or have been pushed by the media to forget and ignore, these were the cutting edge of ATV technology, which was at its height 12-15 years ago. Since then the big four (H, K, Y, S) and the newer players like c-dale have been repeating the odd process of teasing this peak with borrowed features from these 2-strokes but never deliver. they always throw out some 4-stroke in 250R chassis.
For those, and only those, who have thorough knowledge of these quads,(2 of which I own),
How do these high tech (but still 4 stroke) quads compare to the kings (who until now have been offer copied but sadly never equaled).
I'd like to know.

Well, in the pro's where the "250R's" are very heavily moddified, it takes an extremely heavily modded 440 4-stroke to keep up. Kory Ellis and Jermey Schell are racing STOCK (engine wise) Cannibals and Speeds and have had a some podium finishes on quads that they have barely had a chance to ride... need I say more?

Ahhh, you've touched a subject near and dear to my heart. I currently own a Cannondale Cannibal and an '86R which now has an ESR310 kit with a 9 port, ESR pipe, silencer, etc. Before I modded out the R, the Cannibal would thoroughly kick it's *** all day long. Now, a different story, but it took over $3600 that I sank into my R's motor to beat it. I'm getting ready to have my computer remapped and add an HMF silencer so it's going to be interesting to see how they compare after that.
As far as handling, the Cannondale handles great, I believe it's frame geometry was actually copied from the R because we have found that a-arms bolt right up to the Cannondale. Of course most of the Cannondale's already come with Ohlin shocks. My R has +2+1 a-arms plus some triple rate shocks with rezzies so it's hard to compare right now. I've been very impressed with the Cannondale quad, and I have their entry level quad!!

Briansgi has the right idea. A cannondale and an R!
i ride with a couple 18 year olds with mod R's and they are faster than me most of the time.
Last weekend we rode a banked oval and the 'bull got the holeshot, after a bad start no less, and led the first 4 laps til I ran out of steam and made a mistake. Then they both fed me roost!@ If you run into a cannon rider who knows his machine though, Watch out! Wicked Fast.
Whether you want to own one or not, you'll have to figure out.

No, I'm saying stock for stock, the C'dale is definitely faster. But you don't see too many stock R's so,,,,,. I still believe there is no other quad that handles like the R does but the C'dale comes very close and has awesome power. The only thing I do not like about the R's is that damn light switch power, of course that is what my son loves about it. He compares it to an enormous turbo boost!! I love that smooth never ending constant pull power of the C'dales's.
