You need to invest in a better camera, those things sucks for taking pictures of something moving! Did you hit anything that could have caused this? I'm a little confused about what part of the frame, is it the "lower engine frame rail"?

Something doesn't smell right here. I think Gary660R is telling us something between the lines. Like- if this crack happened on your third ride, were you making up those other posts?

Corndog,

Unless you have picture of the crack, I would suggest you refrine from posting until you do. You have several post about 400EX, Raptors, the new suzuki, that you where thinking about getting. You have also posted on exridrs.com about this. You really need to spend the 10.00 for the pictures to get developed and than post them. I'm probably not alone, I'm not sure you even own a quad.

Lets see the pics.

Catfish, take that disposable camera and take 22 pictures of the grass, no one cares. Go to your nearest Wally World (Florida is riddled with them) and get the 5 Cannondale prints developed for $6. If your frame did indeed crack than pictures would be solid proof that other Cannondale owners need to see. Scott Montgomery himself cruises this forum and I'm sure he'd like to see a cracked frame from only mild riding. You are the first one to report a problem like this, post the pics so others can see.

Like I told you on EXRiders, you're going to get flak until you post pics. Many, many people don't believe you ever owned a Cdale in the first place and saying that you cracked the frame on a $7000 quad and then not posting any pics of it make it seem very suspicious.

ONE LAST TIME, DID YOU EVER HIT A BIG STUMP OR ROCK OUT ON THE TRAILS YOU RIDE????????? THE PROBLEM IS YOU DON'T ANSWER ANYTHING BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT TO GET CAUGHT IN A LIE, NOT THAT WE CAN'T FOLLOW WHAT YOU'RE SAYING.

Sorry for the caps, maybe he'll read and respond now. And those camer's only cost like $5, plus $7 to get it developed in an hour. Go get it developed and I'll send you $12 if you aren't lying. I want to see this, because I eagerly await the day I can afford one, but I don't want to spend $7000+ dollars on a quad and case a double and crack an expensive frame in half. You're not only hurting your reputation, you're hurting Cannondales also.

If you can't get the pictures, please describe the Crack.

Any dents on the opposite side of the crack.
Is it near or on a weld.
Is there any oxidation on the inside of the crack.
Does it look like it was cracked first and later broke though. You should be able to tell by a clean area and a oxidized one.
Is the crack straight across or does it follow any inclusions in the metal.

Get the pics, I'm one who follows what your saying and doubt you own a quad.

Your reputation is being hurt by this, not Cannondales
(No Pictures=No Proof).

yeah but i have the pics and will post them eventually. cdales reputation was already hurt when i drove out of the trails 10mph with a cracked frame with a bunch of people(400ex owners who were considering buying cdales) coming up to look at the crack. if they fix it for free everything will be fine, maybe it was just bad luck(what i told the people at ocala). the crack is not on a weld but it is very close. there was no oxidation.
