Yea, why don't you guys consider putting a new radical 2 stroke out there in a few years.

 

Due to emissions, Fed won't allow any general use 2-strokes by 2006 I've read. They may make avalible a race track only version, but due to limited sales, it's unlikely that anyone would or will spend the $$$ to do it.

Why do in 2 what you can do in 4, twice the pleasure, unless you like things to be over quicker.

Corndog is saying in other forums that a slip-on exhaust and a duel re-map yields 61 hp. Anyone know where the charts are. I was of the opinion that the cannon came with approx 40 stock.

As a cannondale owner, I say Corndog is wrong. A Cannibal comes stock with 38HP, and the moto & blaze both have about 40-43HP stock, I doubt with a pipe & Re-map on a Cannibal would get you 60HP, maybe if your lucky 50HP.

Hurycne- go to trinity's web site, basic 686 kit is 63 hp! I had some upgrades on top of that. I would be happy with 60 to the wheels. That really is a lot of hp! I figure that i was at 45 before. I think your bomb was a couple higher 48?

terry at marcums told me 61 hp. the stock ones have 40-42hp, 38 is too low.

61, no way, just look at the HP figures from R&S web site on the HMF silencer stats, they claim 8% increase in HP, so if the base line HP is 40, 8% more would make it a total of 43.2. And R&S will tell you that the 8% increase is only if you have the remapping done. I doubt if there is another silencer out there for the C'dales's that will shoot the HP figures all the way up to 61, no way. But it really makes no difference whether the HP rating is 20 or 80 on the C'dales, they are damn fast!! Too many people get hung up on all these ratings and HP numbers, just ride one for those who haven't, you'll be amazed!!

CornDog, you shouldn't be running around the Net telling people about this 61hp Cannondale when you really don't know any facts about it. But, in your defense, I've been told by 2 different dealers in 2 different states the same thing. Both dealers told me they were invited to the Cannondale plant and Cannondale themselves gave dealers this info. They told them that a simple remap and pipe would yield 61hp. As we all know, there's no way a remap and pipe is going to get you 50% more HP. From what I've gathered about this 61hp Cannondale was that it was a 454cc bore motor set up for drag racing. Details about the motor weren't given except for displacement.

i called cannondale and the lady at the phone told me since my quad was no longer under warranty i would have to pay for it. i was not going to say anything if they offered to fix it then for free. i came hear, posted, and then cdale offered to fix my frame for free. i was also a little angry cause it happened over my spring break and i don't have school or track to get in the way of riding. i was planning on building some jumps wit my friends this week. i think you guys would also be mad if your frame cracked, but maybe i am wrong. why do you scream bludy murder before u even check to see if i have checked with cdale? everything turned out well, and it also showed how good cdale is at customer service. there is no way honda or yamaha would have done this. i thought if i posted here they would fix it for me.

 

Corndog quit telling people that after EVERYONE told him HE WAS MISINFORMED. So what if he was told the wrong info and he believed it... are all of yall going to say that yall haven't ever fallen for something.

P.S. Kinda sad when you guys hang on his every word. A little obsessive and creepy if you ask me.

 

I would get mad if my frame cracked from mild riding,But I would at least give Cannondale a chance to fix it before I tried to burn them.I did not no u talked to someone already before your ariginal post u left that part out.
