It's the honda bolt pattern. My 250R's wheels interchange.

4/144 is the front bolt pattern for: TRX 250R,TRX 250X, TRX 300EX, TRX 400EX and all Cannondale quads.
4/110 is the rear bolt pattern for: TRX 250R, TRX 250X, TRX 300EX, TRX 400EX and all Cannondale quads.

4/156 is the front bolt pattern for: Banshee, Raptor, Warrior, Blaster and Timberwolf.
4/115 is the rear bolt pattern for:Banshee, Raptor, Warrior
4/100 is the rear bolt pattern for: Blaster, Timberwolf

Simply put, most Honda sport quads will work but Yamaha's will not...

The rear sprocket is the same as a 400ex,I've changed mine to a 38, countershaft is supposed to be the 400ex also, although I have not tried that.

The offset on the wheels is different (honda vs. C-dale)... Especially the rear ones. Don't bother trying to put the honda rear wheels on the rear of a c-dale, it makes is EXTREMELY narrow... the wheels will be completely under the fenders (very narrow).

yodaddy,
what do you mean that the offset is diffrent? How is that possible. If they are the same then they should bolt right on the hubs are the same what would be the problem?

The Offset of the wheel is where the hub(Bolt pattern) is mounted in the rim. If you look at the Cannondale offset the hub is mounted real deep into the rim where as the 400ex offset they mount the hub close to the center of the wheel. So if you put 400ex offset wheels on the Cannondale you will make the rear about 8 inches narrower. Understand?

I put a set of ITP wheels off my Cannondale on my son's 250R, it's really neat because it makes the stance of the R almost 4 inches wider. So if you need to widen the stance of your R, use the rims off the Cannondale instead of the cost of an aftermarket axle.
