anyone raced a stock Cannondale against a stock Raptor???

If you are talkin about MX, than I have only raced piped ones. They weren't any problem for me. At Swan, and fourstates, once the gate dropped, I never saw them the rest of the race except for one time when I ran off the track in the first lap and I got stuck behind one.

Here I'll settle this for all the straight line no brainer riders. My brother and I on our modded Rators got smoked up Utahs Sand Mtn by s BONE STOCK CANNONDALE. Yes we know how to ride. End of story. Cannons win on the track too. See how easy that was.........

i spend most of my time at the dunes so if u wanna know about that i have only seen one and he was a stock and at that time i was all stock.
it was a close race until i hit 3rd and from there i pulled on him. so
there u have it. if he was a better rider he may have made a better race outta it!

We drag race all the time at Little Sahara, there is no comparison between a C'dale and a Raptor unless the C'dale rider has an epileptic seizure! Even heavily modded Raptors cannot stay up with a stock Cannibal in the dunes. I had a 2001 Raptor that had a bunch of mods on it, FMF header pipe and FMF silencer, jet kit, air box mods, etc.
My son and I would drag race all the time, him on the Cannibal, me on the Raptor, then we would switch. The Raptor ran really strong, but would consistently get beat by multiple bike lengths by the C'dale. I have since sold the Raptor!

I've ridden both, but not actually raced the two against each other (although I have watched numerous drag races between the two).
The stock C-Dales consistantly outrun all but the heavily modified Raptors... They will also usually outrun the DS650's until you get into the significantly modified ones. I've personnaly raced a modified DS650 against a Cannondale (I was on the DS) in the sand - I could never beat him from the awesome holeshot he was getting - however, I would start gaining a little ground once I hit 4th, but by that time, the race was all but over. With this same DS650 I was not beat by any of the Raptors in attendance.
My fairly heavily modified 400EX (which I figure is putting out around upper 30's HP) also stands no chance against a stock Cannondale in a drag race, although I have more bottom end, they'll eat me up thru the mid & top. I have outrun piped Raptors with this 400, though.
It's really pretty simple when you do the math - depending on which Cannondale you are talking about, they can range from about 37hp to almost 45hp - stock... When put up against a stock 35hp Raptor that weighs more, it's not difficult to discern what the outcome will be.

i answered this post in the yamaha forum earlier
i own both,the"c"wins EVERY time
it pulls the holeshot and 2nd thru 4th gear there isnt a stock raptor that can run with it not to mention my piped raptor in short drag races
quicker not faster(short drag races of 660' or less)
the key is quicker not faster
the raptor is faster on the top end if you have room to run the quads out to the top but in the real world how often do you get to do that?never?paved roads?
all of the power to weight ratios, crystal ***** etc.dont change what ive expierenced first hand
