what's up yaaaalll. Can anyone tell me the exact difference between the cannibal and the speed? I've gotten a lot of inconsistant information between the net and "dirt wheels" mag. does the cannibal rev up to 11,600 or not. doest it come with aluminum wheels and mag. clutch, or is the only difference the ohlins. At first i heard that a lot of things are up-graded on the speed, but i was reading somewhere that the only differences were the shocks and handle bars. what's up?

rev limiter on speed is 11,600/cannibal is 10,600
some cannibals have the magura hyd.clutch/some dont(mine doesnt)
tha map on the speed is supposedly more agressive(i havent had the pleasure of riding one so i have no 1st hand knowledge)
i have yet to see a cannibal that didnt have aluminum wheels and holeshot tires from the factory
speed has a gripper seat cover/cannibal doesnt
you should still be able to find a cannibal with ohlins shocks if you do your homework
speed has aluminum hbars/cannibal has steel
and of course the obvious is the color scheme
my personal opinion is keep the 1,000.00/you can get a remap to the cannibal to match the speeds rev limiter and power curve(i am basing this on the availibility of an early cannibal)
add handlebars and have $ left over to do other upgrades

Just to add a little more to what Cannitor said, the Speed handle bars are Tag t2's, very nice!! It used to be we were telling everyone to get a Cannibal because if you could find one that still had the Ohlin shocks, there wasn't 1K difference in price between the Cannibal and Speed but now there might be since the cannibals now have Arvin shocks. Something else to keep in mind, all the motors on the 4 Cannondale quads are all the same other than their computer maps. You can take your computer from your Cannibal to your dealer and they can download the moto map or the blaze map and your rev limit will now be 11600. Some dealers even do this for free. You will also want to swap out the stock silencer on your speed or cannibal if you remap your computer. Cannondale also has a refurbished program going on with dealers who want to participate, cost is $5K for these units.
