So... ok. Calling all riders/owners in the Great Northwest.

I have messaged with a couple of you guys and I know there are more.

So Let's talk it up in here.. places to ride, try to meet up, just generally keep the thread going on local NW stuff.

Hey guys... My name is Steve, I am 48 yrs, Ex-USN, an Operating Room Charge Nurse.. Licensed Private Pilot. Have a Daughter 20 who loves to ride, Son 12 learning to ride.. (I am also learning to ride). This Cannibal is my first ATV and what a hoot. My kids share time on the Honda 400EX. I got Yamaha Mtn Max 700 Snowmobiles in Jan. we started out on those. Now we had to have the ATV's for summer time. (I gave up and sold the Bass Boat)

I am more than willing to meet new people, and ride together, learn new places to ride etc. I need any help possible on mechanical upkeep on this beast. Learning as I go. Reading everything I can get ahold of.

Been riding on logging roads upper Clackamas River area, (Estacada) and went to Sand Lake on Friday. Man what a hoot that was. I think I want some sand tires though. I got the metal kits coming from Cabelas on Monday to make 2X8 ramps. So loading and unloading will be easier than using the tilt snowmobile trailer loading method. Also when I go solo I can just hop my machine in the back of Pick-em-up-truck and scoot.

Look forward to hearing from others in here......

Steve I'm up for it. Sounds great!!!!!Don't ya just love the attention ya get from all the others when you ride. The Dale just keeps things on a social level. Last time I was at Sand Lake I think I spent more time talking to people than riding(might be because my kid stole my bike and I refuse to ride his warrior). I have to call C-dale Monday and get some handouts so can ride more. What do ya think?????

My name is Steve, 15 years old. Been trying to get a Dale for awhile. Just applied for a bank loan with my mom, hope it goes through, I might finally be the owner of C-Dale! Ride my property, gravel pits and as soon as a quad comes, MX tracks and possibly some XC, desert racing. I'm planning on DuneFest(formerly SandFest) this year.

Hey, if you don't mind riding with a non-cannondale rider...I'm about a 10 to 15 minute drive from you. I ride an '02 400ex. I'm 27 (almost 28). Ex-USN as well (6 years). If you're looking for someone to show you the local trails..etc. I'm up for it. I've been riding the trails since the mid 1980's. I do alot of riding up in Tillamook State Forest which has great trails, Jones Creek Washington (about 35-40 minute drive from Gresham), and I'm trying to go to Sand Lake as much as possible. Actually, I'm heading to Sand Lake this Friday. The weather's gonna be good, and it won't be too crowded. Just put a pipe on my bike, and want to see how things have (or haven't) improved. My buddy with a raptor is coming with me, and possibly another guy or two with banshees. Anyway...drop me a line sometime. chadhamel@earthlink.net

Hey Chad, I for one don't care what you ride. C-dales are so far and few between that I would have to ride alone if I waited to ride with a Dale. I'm 53 and live in Lake Oswego and have been riding about 40 years. My son or one of them rides a warrior and another rides a Polaris 500 so there you have it. Just enjoy the sport and the fun of meeting new people. I guess I'm the Old Man of the group so far. Steve is 48 sooo that makes me old. Boy surrounded by Navy guys, oh well I have been surrounded by Navy guys before and survived(Joke). Steve was telling me that he rides up the Clackamas River over by Estacada. Man that sounds too close. We ought to get together for some Clackamas riding. I like Sand Lake but alot of the time it is so crowded. Been almost run down serveral times this year alone. One girl side swiped me coming over the hill. Oh well I quess that is to be expected. I have a bunch of guys who ride down there often and one of them is my accountant. Doesn't quite fit the profile does it. He rides a 250r and loves it. You'll have to ride the Dale and tell me what you think. So far nobody, including myself, can believe it. Hits hard. Can you say smoooooth. Hits and keeps on pulling to the 11,600 redline. Fun ride. I think they are all fun rides. Well nice to meet you and let's get this thing put together.

Bill, glad to get another response. I've done some riding out in the hills outside of Estacada too. My boss told me that the road at Fish Creek is blocked off for cars now, and had been made available just for ATV's, dirtbikes, and hikers. I haven't tried it out yet, but I'm guessing that it goes up into the hills pretty far. About a month ago, I rode up in the snow in the hills outside of Molalla (Sawtell Rd.) It's pretty decent, but mainly logging roads. One friend of mine with a Raptor (who I'm riding with at Sand Lake this Friday) wants to take another trip up to Jones Creek (in Washington). There's alot of great trails there, and it's only a half hour outside of Portland. Anyway...shoot me an email, and we can all try and figure out a time to go riding.

Hey Chad, good to have you in here. Maybe I should not have titled the link "cannondale riders" cause anyone in "our neck of the woods" is certainly welcome. I also posted over in "places to ride" to try for some Oregon riders.

Your 400ex sounds nice. I bought one of those also, for my kids to ride. It is a nice solid machine for them to learn on. Me I always do it full bore,, learning on this Cannondale, that wants to jump out from under me..heheheheeee. I shot up this dune bowl at sandlake the other day, and bout got bucked off.

I drive through Boring at least 2 or 3 times a week. (My Ex and Parents live over that way and I come through from MHCC area.) Probably drive by your place.

For sure I would like to hook up with you sometime. Interesting to hear about fish creek rd. I will have to look into that this week.
Gonna PM you about something on your Honda I am curious about... so look for it.

Bill when I was stationed with the Marine Corps my last yr in USN, we had a saying... THe Marine Corps Already Has Their FEW GOOD MEN...
Navy Corpsmen.

Hey Steve we had a few sayings too. That was funny and we are going to get along fine.

Chad...in case you didn't get the email off the profile it is bc@teleport.com and I'll PM both you and Steve with mobile # so we can call each other too. This going to be fun.
