The gas station where I ride has premium but the pump says 91 on it, I know Cannondale reccomends 93. I have used this in my old 10.5 to 1 Honda with no problems but have no idea if this will work safely in the Dale. Anyone have and input on this for me? Thanks....

 

all I can get is 91 here in Denver. we are at altitude, so that makes a difference with the amount of free Oxygen available. I havent had any problems with 91 gas, but if I lived in Minn. I would definately go to amoco and get the 93 ultimate. But like I said, I have put nothing but 91 in mine and havent had any problems.

 

91 SHOULD WORK FINE AND IF IT DOESNT YOU WILL KNOW IT WILL PRE IGNITE AND SOUND WEIRD WHEN RUNNING IF IT DOES YOU WILL NEED TO BUY OCTANE BOOST

 

In Ca. I can only find 91 octane. 5 gallons and half a bottle of octane booster. No problems so far.

I actually do most of my riding up in northern Wisconsin where gas stations are sometimes 20 miles apart. I think i will give it a shot and if it doesnt like it I will truck in my own fuel. I guess I have a thing with vehicles and premium fuel, My Jeep 5.9 wont run on anything but the good stuff too.
