'03 Models?
#1
Since it will be after Sep. before I can get a C-Dale, does anyone know what changes will be made to each model? When will the '03 models come out? I'm so excited I finally made an agreement between my Uncle to co-sign for me, but I have to wait til Mid Sep to get the Dale KNOWSALOT was saying something about C-Dale "tweaking" the motor to get ~50RWHP , anyone know anything else, like if this motor will make it's way into the 03's? Is anyone financing a Speed? I'll likely be getting one of those, since it will have the Ohlins. I read that payments are as low as $150. I doubt a 16 year old is going to get that kind of a rate though. My local dealer told me awhile back $169 a month for the Cannibal, so I would imagine the Speed is going to be $180-$200 a month. It's going to be a long 5 months! I alomst forgot, the payments calculated are something like $210 a moth for the Moto, is anyone already/going to be financing a Moto? Did you get that rate? Did I metion I was so damn excited????

Having been in sales on large ticket item, (cars, boats) you really need to think though the purchase of these items. A cheap payment can be very expensive long term. Take it in the shorts, save as much as you can and finace waht you can't. The payment game is one that I've played for years, Sell a $12,000 boat and people could finance it for 15 YEARS. 10,000 boat would only be 10 YEARS but the payment was higher.
Knowsalot probably has more up to date info than I do, Wait to get as much cash as you can thoug you'll be happier in the long run.

Thanks for the fast response. My plans are to sell my ATC around August, and save all my cash for the next 5 months. Then when I'm 16 and old enough to finance one with a co-signer, I'll use every cent I have for the down payment. I doubt I'll be making more than $350 dollars a month for the first few months, and racing costs alotta $$$$, so I would like to keep my payments low and still be paying on the quad, not just the interest rate like you would likely be doing using the Yamaha credit card. Man I'm so excited, this is finally a for sure that I'm getting a C-Dale.

I doubt if you will get much info from Cannondale about the 2003 models until they start shipping and here is why, it ends up taking sales away from the 2002 models. If you know a new model is going to have xy&Z changes and those are major changes, wouldn't you wait? I'm in the computer industry and this is a common practice not telling customers of upcoming design changes because you know your customer will hold off on their purchase waiting for the next generation systems to be available.

I never thought about that. When will the '03 models be coming out? BTW trout, thanks! Mods, why did you delete the link to R&S Performance's site? I'm really getting sick of that crap. It was not advertising in anyway. I think the owner needs new mods, ones that will ban corndog and leave links to other sites in the posts.

I still owed $2000 on my 300ex so when I traded it in, I got $2600 for the 300 (kinda pissed me off but oh well) and then got $400 off of msrp for a Cannibal. So after everything was figured, my OTD price was $6,350. I'm payin $208 payments every month and when I had a job, I was spending over half of my money on the payments and the rest went to gas and races... which is why it takes so long before I can get any modifications . It's hard having to spend almost all of your paycheck on the quad and barely have enough to race but if you're devoted enough, you can do it.
Good luck

Believe me, I'm devoted enough to give all my paycheck if I had to. I have a car already(good thing for hand-me downs) and don't really have anything else to do where I live besides go to work, and ride, with the occasional party, but that doesn't cost me any money! smitty, since you know all they things about financing, what would you guestimate my payment would be with $2500 down and a co-signer with excellent credit? I think I am actually going to wait until January to get it, because ryanstones has reminded me that owing 8 grand to someone is alot of money, especially at my age, so I am going to save up as much money as I can for the down payment. Moderators, I still want an explanation for deleting the words R&S Performance out of my post!
I almost forgot, I'm going to finance my mods with my quad, so I won't have to worry about any of that, until I break something!
