Justsout,
First things first. There are a few people here that actualy knows whats going on. Knowsalot is one.
Let's start with the basics.
Do you have the EC500 or EC1000 computers, the 500 has two large buttons and the 1000 has a small green one and large red slider.
If you have the 500, you can remap with what ever map you want although the true HP will be unknown unless you dyno the bike. If you have the 1000 you can still do the above and also get 1000 more RPM. You will also need a new slip on to take full advantage of the map. The stock silencer is restrictive.
As far as HP being made with REVs that isn't entirely true. My Big Block Ford (V-8) only turns to 5,500 RPM and makes about 320HP stock, It not stock so it makes alittle more, but where not talking Fords right now. that's about 40HP per hole.
Do you have a Cannondale or are you thinking about getting one?

If you live in alaska one of the forum members is in Anchoridge. Alaska400EX has one and I'm sure he will talk to you.
This has nothing to do with your question and I won't comment on what others say. Diesals Red line 1,200 RPM, DS650 6,500 RPM, Raptor 8,500 RPM, 427 side oiler 6,500 400+ HP, Small block Ford 6,500, My Vette 6,500.
RPM alone will not make HP.

smitty, stop trying to act smart(like on those pms you were sending me, too). the raptor redlines at 9000 rpm. those engines you are talking about have more displacement than the cdale engines. a mc1000 cannibal with a moto remap and 11600 is going to put out more hp than a cannibal with a mc500 with a moto remap and a 10600 rev limiter.

Higher revs do not neccessarily produce more horsepower.
All ATVs reach their peak horsepower WELL before they reach the rev limit......including the Cannondales.
The higher rev limit makes it less likely for the engine to fall below peak power before the next gear change....that's it.
So..CornDog, before blasting another member for stating true facts, you might want to check them out yourself first.
Can you not go through one single topic without starting controversy?

Corndog,
I don't know what the actul Redlines of these motors are. But it just shows that they are well below the Cannondale, and should not be taken into concederation if buying a quad. Most buyers don't look at one point on any bike and buy for that reason. Would anyone here buy a DS650 Because it has the highet output from the stock stator?
Thank God it's not an Act.

LOL, Smitty was just pointing out the obvious. Maybe to you and anyone else that are at the lower end of the "intellectual status", it seems like he is just trying to be smart, but like I said, he was just pointing out the obvious.
