I still have serious issues with Dave Beck. He took away my other "nick" because of a heated post that I made quite a few months ago. Although this is his forum and it is a privledge to use, I do not agree with all his rationale and decrees of what is a go/no go on here. Especially when what I was banned for was no different than many other participants get away with on a daily basis. Kind of hypocritical and biased, if you ask me. Oh, by the way, it was on that Honda thread quite awhile back about someone getting in an accident and everyone "banding together" and "praying". I said "take that crap elsewhere", and *poof* no more logging in for AlaskaTRX. I still get pissed when I think about that...

Anyways, that is just my opinion. I expect to be "nuked" now that I've said that...

 

Thank you. Colt77, there was absolutely positively a need for the ban. There was never a single positive contribution by that user, if someones sole purpose is to cause problems on a forum then they are not needed.

Thanks for the thanx! Although I can tell you that Corndogs banning was not due to the many complaints of him irratating people on the forum. Had corndog not started a thread calling for banning of a fellow ATVConnection member after we warned him about his behaviour, (Hmm, wonder if we shouldnt have banned those individuals that started threads calling for CornDog to be banned?) he may very well be a member still. So those members that think "We got him good", you didnt, CornDog got himself. Thanks for participating in the ATVConnections forums...

And that's just the point we were trying to make Roostking.... He brought it upon himself (just as we all knew he would) - just took you guys forever to get down to business. Don't guess I see your logic behind your last comment about banning those calling for Corndog's demise from this board.

The main problem I have is there are several policies in place on these boards to keep them from getting "garbaged up", however, many of those policies make it hard to share info and lots of good info (and people) get deleted in the process. I'd still like to hear the reason my old userid got banned (sent msgs to dBeck and got no reply) - heck, I've contributed a ton to these forums over the years, including the cute little ATV icons many of us are using (and more that I sent in that were apparently too much trouble to add to the list)

However, when such a GLARING problem like Corndog shows up, he is left to go around the forums disrupting good conversation and start flame wars with reckless abandon with almost zero recourse until practically the whole forum spoke up...

 

i agree with RoostKing 100%. personally ( in my opinion ) BUT.i think that we have little room for b*tching about how Dave Beckstrom runs HIS own FREE forum. If we were paying for a service then I would understand where people would question the policy.. but we arent... who am I ( or you for that matter ) to complain to dbeck about how he runs his stuff. this man is nice enough to provide this forum for us and all we want to do is tell him how to run it or ask for an explanation?? he owes us nothing. IMHO , we have no place to question his rules and regulations, this is HIS house and we are the guests.


oh yeah , where i used the phrase ( or you for that matter ) , it was not aimed at anyone in particular and i dont want anyone to take offense by it.
