Rear Skid Plate
#1
I got 20 razor on the rear of my Speed and this past weekend it seem that I got stuck in every rut. I talked to the other Cannondale rider and He had the same problem. My question is there a rear skid plate the would give me better ground clearance than the stock one or do I need to get 22" tires and drop a tooth on the front spocket? Any body else race harescrambles and have this problem? What have you done to solve this problem?

lt, measure them and compare the number to the stock 20" holeshots. I don't get stuck at all when I am trailriding with those, are the razr's that much shorter considering they are both 20's. I was considering actually going down to a 18" razr to help my sliding and bottom end a little, hmmm maybe not now.

I got stuck in a rut once in a race with the stock Holeshots. Other than that I haven't had any problems. In fact, I'm pretty happy with how well they do in the ruts, rough stuff, and the mud. I do have a PRM swingarm skid, though. Since it's one piece instead of two separate "skis", it may navigate the ruts better.

Dex, I checked the height of the razor vs the holeshots (20's), the holeshots are about an 1/2" taller.
Nut & Cannitor, I was planning on get a RPM chassis skid plate, I'll just go ahead and get the swingarm plate too. Thanks for all the info. By the way I put 22" holeshot xct's on it for now.
