I have an 02 & the tranny is just fine thank you, & on the rare occasion I do get beat my Raptor doesn't have a hissy fit & puke it's oil through the air filter!! BAAHAHAHAHA!!

BTW just to show this isn't a flame, just good hearted kidding. I want to say how impressed I am with C'Dale's stepping up & replacing the motors!!

Hopefully this one won't get so mad when it gets beat by a Raptor!! HAHAHA!

On a serious note, Do C'Dales have an external screw on oil filter? If they do check ouy my post on the Yamaha forum "Scotts reuseable oil filter" It's a cool piece & they may have one for C'Dales.

The Cannondales filter is recessed into the case and mine was shipped with that filter, STOCK. Just one more item to say mines better.LLLOL

If you want you can spend some more money and get the TAG handle bars, and the Hydrolic clutch, and the OLINS shock, and the Fuel Injection, and the Aluminum Frame, and the Hole shot tires, and ah, and ah.LOL

I wouldn't waist my money on those Holeshots though. I did a little "custom grooving" to mine so maybe they will slide better in the corners on the track.

Moose - if I can find a job sometime soon, I'll be heading out to LS. My Cannondale is kinda hungry and some bar-b-q Raptor is makin his mouth water [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]. If I go, I'll let you know, and if your there the same day, I'll be on a completely stock Dale w/ mad eye covers, I don't have sand tires, so I imagine I'll be eating some dust but I'm just lookin forward to some big air [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img].

 

I'm actually thinking about a C'dale when it's time to trade in my Raptor (04 model mabey) Perhaps they'll have all the bugs worked out by then & may have a bigger motor. actually I'm surprised there isn't more problems considering all the hi-tech stuff on them. I have heard very few problems with the FI & I thought that would be the problem area considering the conditions their ridden in. But I'm most impressed with their customer service, They even helped corndog for gods sake!!

I wasn't impressed with the FX400's at all. I could keep up with them on my 250R, they were ugly (but their growing on me), they sounded funny & I can out run them on my Raptor.
The improvements have been coming fast though. So who knows what my next quad will be?

 

Ah, I was just throwing a little humor in bout the tranny.

I guess you can look at the oil "puking" thing 2 ways. As a design screw up, or just another way to make sure your airfilter is well lubricated, so no dirt slips through!

 

hey i want to lay this all out. raptors,400exs,ds650,Z400 they are all great bikes. I have had the chance to take a modded raptor up olds and comp at glamis a 440 that hauls and the z400s and ds650s haul stock too. but i used to go ridding with these guys all the time on my Honda 250X but now that igot my speed they never ask me to go. I give my props to all of these bike i just rather have my C-dale. oh yeah watch out for those damm Razors scooters they will eat the best of us!
