Ok here are two that don't get compared much. I like the new limited edition banshees that will be out in August. I have always wanted a banshee (even when I bought my blaster). However, I have looked at Cannibal at a dealership in Cullman, AL. I still have never rode either machine yet. I really like the powerband of a two stroke, but a lot of people say the C-dales have the same feeling. The last time I checked on a banshee the guy told me $5299, and the Cannibal was 6950 otd. I guess I probably need to go ride both machines. Any advantages or disadvantages you can think for either machine. I feel you guys will be non-biased to me. The limited addition will definitely be higher. I will be trading in my blaster, and was wondering what the difference in payments will be. I am leaning toward the banshee b/c I have a always wanted one, its a two-stroke, and the price difference. I ride mostly in open fields, and may start trail riding some. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The Cannibal will be better on the trails and the Banshee is a bit front heavy. The Banshee is cheaper and you can get a lot of power out of little mods.

Ride both and decide... it really just depends on your personal preferance.

they are both great bikes. Irode a shee last year that was built an liked it. but it is a two stroke thati did not like. the day rides like a two stroke with a rev of 10,600rpms and like the raptor (stock) is 7,700rpms they are both great just ride them both and see witch one you like, and who you will be ridding with.

Thanks for the info. I rode by the Cannondale dealership yesterday, and the Cannibal that was on display in the window is now gone. I am sure that they will be getting in some 2003 models though. I am still a few months away from buying a quad right now. (gotta get my car paid off) That is the main reason I didn't take the C-dale for a test ride. The guy that works there owns a Cannibal and said I could test his, but I knew I wouldn't be buying right now so I didn't take him up on his offer. I guess I should ride both, but most places around here doesn't like to give test rides. However, if I am going to buy something I am going to ride it first. That's just the way I am. I am still up in the air with the decision, maybe I should buy both. lol.

I have had a chance to ride both extensively. My friends and I swap when we go out riding. If you are riding the trails I say to go with the 4-stroke. You won't foul the plugs in the slower stuff and it should be a little better maintanance wise. I love the power you get out of a Banshee with a little work, but kick starts are a pain and mixing fuel, as you already know are not much fun. My C-Dale after a remap hits nice and hard and gives me planty of power, even the guys on the shee's say so. Just my feelings nothing more. Like riding the shee, but don't like starting it.

This basically comes down to whether or not you want two stroke or four stroke power.

Stock for stock, they are close, but the Banshee responds best to modifications and can be made to go much faster for lesser money.

The powerband of the Banshee is capable of woods riding ,but doesn't surpass the fourstrokes by a long shot.

I see you are located in Alabama. There aren't many places there that warrant a Banshee other than sandpits or the drag strips.

Drive over and I will let you ride the Cannibal or any other four stroke quad for that matter. We sell all the brands and have a demo of each maker's hi-po quads EXCEPT for the Banshee. We haven't sold but a handful in the last two years due to the Fourstroke craze and the fact that most riders in this area don't require or need two stroke power.

Rebel, I live in Birmingham and ride at the bowl on the weekends. If you see me out there come over and I'll let you take my Cannondale for a spin. Thoughts of that Banshee will be a distant memory.

Well yall I made up my mind today. I first went to the Yamaha shop and looked. They had a new 2002 black and white Banshee, and a used 2000 Banshee. The salesman cranked up the 2000 and let me hear it run. I looked both over for a little while and all the time he was telling me about his theories of economics that he learned that you can only get in graduate school. In otherwords, he was trying to make me out as being an idiot. I didn't bother to tell him I have a two year degree in business. Anyways I asked him if I could test the used one to see how a Banshee runs. I was kinda shocked when he said no. After telling me earlier how he isn't the kind of salesman that rips people off, he said he only let people drive them when there is money on the table because of liability if someone gets hurt or tears something up. Here's the kicker he said I could buy either one and when I take it home and ride it, if I don't like it he will give me my money back. (YEA RIGHT!!!!!) Needless to say I left, and went to the Cannondale dealership down the road. He treated me like I was somebody, and showed be two Cannibals they had been racing. He told me they would sell one since it was a demo at a discounted price when the 2003 demo comes in. He said he will call me when the 03 comes in and we will go ride the Cannibal I was looking at. When I got home he called and told me that the limited edition Cannibal had just come in if I wanted to look at them. This is the kind of service I like. It looks like everyone was right about the Cannondale dealerships and customer support. I will definitely be riding a Cannibal instead of a Banshee.
