I'm pretty sure it's 50 inches wide.

It's going to largely depend on how you measure and what the actual offset of the wheels you use are.

The width of the front will change with how compressed the shocks are - if you run a lot of sag, it will be wider than if topped out. If you run 4/1 wheels it will also need wider arms if you are shooting for a particular width figure.

I have stock Honda front wheels (much better quality than ITP .190) and flipped them around for width, and now the Dale is 49 inches wide. I just need some wheel spacers or (if I can afford it) a axle to match the rear w/ the front. I have some pretty good sag in the front so it helps a little too.

A nice cheap way to widen the front end... there is no way I can afford some $700 a-arms and a set of $850+ shocks. I hope that I can afford a axle but I might just get rear wheel spacers until I have the money for an axle.

I don't know what to tell you w/ the measurements... Jeremy Schell is runnin +3 Lonestar a-arms and I guess he's 50 inches wide since thats the limit, but he might have a different offset wheel up front.

Yo - flipped front wheels are really bad for handling - but you probably already knew that didn't you , yes, the alternative is expensive.

I'm having custom rear wheels spacers made by a local machine shop for flat track racing, they should be much better than those offered by the aftermarket and will be made of aluminum.. I'll be doing 2.5" on each side and using my Honda offset rear wheels - that should take me right up to the limit.

SparkyEX measured one at our local C-Dale dealer and it was something like 48.5" instead of 50 and the axle appeared to be adjusted out all the way.

It can't be much worse than two wheeling in every corner. I have run stock flipped around honda wheels before and it felt great but I had to give them back since they were just loaners . Now I have my own . I'm a little worried about running wheel spacers on the rear since I'm a motocrosser but the cost of a new axle is out of my range right now and a friend of mine will probably give me a good deal on his when he buys an axle. Does anyone know of any week axle problems on the Cannondales? My friend has been running wheel spacers for quite a few races now on his 400ex and has had no problems w/ axles bending but I don't think Honda had any axle problems... did Cannondale?
