Well, I went to Swan MX on Friday to practice and planned on watchin the races on Saturday and Sunday, but after practice the track talked me into racing. I didn't race on saturday but they had an Expert quad class and a Amature Open class. The amt. open class was pretty much the Novice and Intermediate classes combined and this guy named Joey (I think thats his name) got 1st or 2nd on his Banshee in that amature open class (there's a reason I told yall that). Well on Sunday, there was a Amature (Novice), Intermediate, and Expert class and I raced the Amature class. So we started lining up at the gates and all of a sudden I see Joey lining up with the Amature class. I was like WTF? Why would he be lining up with us? He doesn't seem to get along with some of the intermediate riders and when he found that he might actually get beat by one of them, he decided to be a MAJOR sandbagger and race with the Novice class. I got 2nd place in the first moto and was 18 seconds ahead of 3rd place, and Joey was atleast 10 seconds ahead of me and he wasn't even riding hard. In the second moto, I ended up with 2nd (giving me 2nd overall) and Joey was just pulling away from me like I was standing still. I protested but they let it go since he "technically" didn't move down a class since Saturday was considered an amature class too.

That kinda pissed me off a little, but I am totally happy with my 2nd place finish. I'm sure 2nd place in the Outlaw Amature MX National, racing Quad amature, will help out my resume for when I try to get a sponsor or two. That plaque sure does look good on my wall [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img].

P.S. Sorry... kind of a lame "race report" but in the first motot I just had to pass one guy for 2nd, but he was so slow that once I was around him, I just pulled away. In the second moto, I got 2nd out of the gate and finished 2nd... not the most exciting race to watch (actually I think there was a hell of a race going on between the 3rd, 4th and 5th place riders but I'm not sure) but it was a fun as hell race for me [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img].

 

No race reports are lame! Good job on your finish, you know you would have taken both motos if things were like they should have been....nice job.......JIM

 

I know how it feels to race one of these guys.Ther is only 1 class they race in louisana and miss and it ranges from begener to expert.
It realy sucks because it discourages the begener riders to even race.
I went to Rock hill in Pervace Miss Thurs night for practice and there were atleast 20 or more quads.Went and raced there last night and there were only 10.
I got the hole shot the first moto and got passed by a roll design 440ex in the 6th turn and held 2nd to the checkers.He was about 5 seconds in front me and I was 10 sec. in front of 3rd.
The second moto the race order was changed and I lost track so I was late to the gate and I got a far outside gate pick.I got a 3rd place hole shot and pased the guy in 2nd for another 2nd place finish.

There ar a couple of us talking to the track owners to break up the classes so we can have better turn outs,and also have some minnie classes.
