I just recieved my September issue of Dirt Wheels and there is hardly any after market stuff in there. What up with these guys? They already have stuff for the z400 and the dales have been out for a couple of years now and there are plenty of them out there. I'm a little pissed. Also, Dirt Wheels never have any topics on the dales. Why? You don't see them in the readers rides part either. Maybe everyone should send them a pic so they can post it. I went through the whole magazine just looking for Cannondales, ect. and the only thing I found was a shot of Nate Levernze on his blaze at Lorretta Lynn and he didn't even place. DW's isn't even worth wiping my *** with!!!! Did you read the latest shootout with the Z400 and the Raptor, they picked the Z400 again!! I could not believe the shootout the previous month when they picked it over the C'dale. Let's see, the C'dale wins in every category but we've decided to give the shootout win to Suzuki, ah yea, that makes sense!!

What was even more irritating, did you read one of the letters to the editor where the guy from Kansas was talking about loud Harleys and being patriotic and loud quad exhausts and the DW's staff made fun of his statement about buying American (owns the Harley) but yet they gave him crap about owning a Jap quad. They went on to say how come you didn't buy a C'dale since they are US built, best technology, etc. Gee, why didn't they make those comments during the Z400 shootout the previous month!! They are such a bunch of a$$hole hypocrits!!

I agree! It just pissed me off when I thumbed through it and found nothing on the dales. Yea, I saw the shootout. They were giving Yamaha crap about their trannies. Well, whatever it takes to pay the bills, huh? When are the aftermartet group going to produce products for the dale though. It's been out long enough. Whats the hold-up? I used to think that it was because of the shortage of units sold, but that's not an issue anymore I don't think.

 

I've been wondering the same thing. Like these companies that "fully backup" quad racing, and yet they won't make parts for the ONLY manufacturer that supports quad racing. Does Mair even make aftermarket plastics for the Dales? I don't think they do but they ARE one of the Nac's sponsors. It's like all these "racing companies" don't think that cannondale's are worth making parts for but those same "racing companies" will make parts for a damn Kasea, Mojave, and 250/300 EX?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

As far as dirtwheels goes, they are a friggin joke. It's a sad thing when money takes over and the people they are making these magazines for, aren't important to them anymore.

 

Talked to dirtwheels today about running a ad. The cost was 970 for a 1/4 page, 1780 for a 1/2 page. I only buy the mag for the adds the stories and shoot outs are just filler between the ads.
