potential c-dale owner

I was thinking about buying a cannondale speed or cannibal but after i went through some of the post on here, it seems like everyone is having alot of trouble with their bike. some people said it tears up their knees, bike stalls constantly, fouling plugs when they start their bike, and the list goes on and on. Does everyone have these troubles with their bike???

No not everyone has these problems, Out of the 23+ thousands of forum members and several thousand quads sold, there have been a few problems. Nothing like bent axles or Trannies breaking and not being covered. Most of these have updates from Cannondale and should be handled befoer you get one. Foul plugs, owner caused, Knees brused, not mine I don't squeeze it that hard, Stalling update has been out for months, if you haven't got it done that the owners fault also. It is a pretty short list.

The plug fouling problem is usually a problem for people the first time they start their quad due to improper starting. I fouled mine twice the first week I had mine and then I was "taught" how to start it the right way (thanks to the good people of this forum) and I haven't had a problem since.
The stalling problem is usually either rider error, or that some people needed a stalling map or something like that added to there's but I'm pretty sure all the new ones now have those updates.
The knee's, well, that's just those "vents" in the side plastics. That does kind of suck but all you need is padding. I bought knee and shin gaurds, which I needed to wear anyways since I'm a MX'er, and I have no problems with that now.
Almost everyone that has had problems with their Dales have been able to easily fix the problems within minutes. Some have had more serious problems, but almost all of those guys have been fully backed up by Cannondale. There are only a small percentage of Cannondale owners that are unhappy with them or regret buying them.

smitty is right.
The plug foulings are owner induced. The one's who do foul the plugs, learn quick how to avoid it.....and know the consequence of not learing.
The stalling issue has already been adressed. All a owner has to do is carry it to the dealer for them to download the update.
The knee issue, which is a problem that I have, depends on the rider. I race harescrambles with mine, and the bruising is from my legs getting tired and "flopping" against the plastic. I hope they address that issue, but in my situation and with my riding style, it would be an improvement,...but it's not a "problem" with the product.
All the other issues that i have seen are electrical related. If you also notice, most of these are from people who fool around with the mapping, injector pulse widths, RPM parameters, etc, etc.
It takes more than a $1500.00 "kit" to tune the electricals on the Cannondales. It takes common sense and an ability to know when to stop.
Why would you need more than what your dealer can do for $27.50????? Just put on a pipe and get the basic mapping done by someone who knows what they are doing.
BTW....The posts in the other forums regarding jetting waaaaaaaaaay outnumber the ammount of posts here regarding the Cannondale's computers.
Just something to think about.

Knee bruises - I race harescrambles on a 400EX and get the insides of my knees bruised as well... Not just a Cannondale thing.
As far as the $1500 tuning package - the overpriced package called proCal has become obsolete in the last couple days (more on this later) - although Patrick is right, not a tool to be used unless you have a decent knowledge of EFI and engine tuning...
