First of all I found out how tough the cannondale is. On the second lap I hit a 400ex that went into a ditch and then was hit buy a 250r and flip the c'dale on it side. No damage to me or the quad. just lost time. On the 4th lap I tried to pass a quad on a down hill (big mistake). I caught and rut and was throw from the quad. I landed on my shoulder and slid down the hill. The result was a broken collar bone. No damage to the quad. It rolled down the hill on it's wheels and hit a fence post at about 40mph and no damage!! As I was being put in the ambulance my teamate can up an asked if he could ran the cannondale since his rear shock blew on his machine. He ended up racing to laps and flipped the quad for the 3rd time. Only damage to the quad in three hard wrecks was on the last one and all that happen was the controls where pushed down. No big deal just loosen up the levers and reposition them.

250,
Sorry to hear about the collarbone, I did that when I was 17, 39 now still have the bump where it broke. X-ray techs in the Navy are sadistic, jump up on this table, lie down, roll on your side we need pictures. That was one of the more painful breaks on this old body.
Heal quick.

I was thinking the same thing. The Quad is fine and I'm not. I wish it was the other way. Quicker and less painful to fix the quad than me. Oh well. Hopefully I'll be ready for the next national (sept. 7).
Smitty my x-rays didn't hurt that big, so of it may had to do with the hot nurse taking them too. Hey there are benifits that come from getting hurt .

Well, I just came from the doctor's office. The vertict is it is a very bad break (2 small chips, one above and one under tge 2 large bones). He said I'll be out a while and pending on how it heels I might need surgery. I'll have more info in 3 weeks when I go back for a status report. So no racing, riding or anything like that for awhile. Now I have to sell my other quad (91 quadracer). Since I can't ride either one no need to have 2 and can't afford to have 2 quads sitting. I let everyone know if I hear anything else one the injury.

I hopeful a fast recovery, cause I'll aleady itching to race. The other bad news is that I had to call my dealer and tell them I was unable the buy a new gas gas quad do to the injury. The owner's wife was bummed because she told me she planned on calling the importer later this week about trying the get the quad for me before it was released. So now I have to wait and see what the doctor tells me in 3 weeks on how long I'll be out.
Incase anyone didn't know it's a 300cc 2-stroke race ready pushing 50hp quad. It's schedule to release sometime in Sept. And a 450cc 4-stroke is supposed to be out sometime in Nov.
I'll let eveyone know on my status and on the new quads when new info is available.
