Hey guys. Just giving yall an update. Special came from a last place holeshot to a win on Sat. and markvette's josh got the holeshot and finished 2nd. Me on the other hand I stall comming out of the gate in the first moto(and hit the kill switch) so i was dead last. 2nd moto another bad holeshot but tried to pass for the lead STALLED!!! But fought back and took 2nd in the begginer class. But Special and josh fly and push their Cdales very hard. I'm still used to racing that Banshee. I hope to get better.

Congrats on your finish MOTOWN.

I too had a rough race the first time I took out the Cannibal. I stalled a couple of times as well.

Now that I have that part taken care of, I just need to learn to steer away from the trees better. I don't think you will have that problem in motocross though....I hope.

Congrats to special and josh[??] as well.

Sounds like you guys are pulling it together down on the coast.

Keep us posted.

Yea my reaction time has been terable in my last few races off the start.atvman(Josh)Has been getting every hole shot latley on his canable.I think thats pretty impresive with the compition we been having. He even holeshoted a 770 raptor this weekend and that thing was fast. After the gate droped all I saw was roost and thought for shure it was over but I didn't give up acually I think I rode faster than I would have if I would of got the hole shot.

Hopefully I will have my moto front end by next race so I will be ready for atvman.hehe.Then I will pretty much have a complete moto speed.

Motown,ME and atvman had the same trouble getting used to the dales. We both have stalled them and hit the kill switch before. You will get used to it and it wont happen no more.By next race you will be in the pro class with us I bet.(if you wana call that a pro class)

See yall at the races,Mike.

Well I wish I was there. Had to work (still here). Talked with markvette sunday and he filled me in.
The 770's believe it or not have nothing for you on a MX track. Infact any big bore raptor won't have anything. The raptor riders are starting to figure this out. If you compare a stock raptor HP at 4500 rpm's to a bigbore the stocker has the edge. They never leave third gear anyway.

I wish I was there. How did the local two raptor guys do against you. One of them has a pipe, +2 A-arms, +4 axle. The other (his brother inlaw) has a stock one with the front wheels flipped around. I'd like to know how you did against them to gage my self, I raced them a few times.

Hopefully I can make it to fernwood on the 14th. I work, but I'm getting transferred to a land position within the next couple weeks so I should be able to make it.

Gaff,
One raptor DNF,I think he had ball joint problems and the one with the wide axel and a-arms was in third in the pro class.I had about 15 seconds on him.

Man that is a impressive run special. He is the local favorite around there. Not sure if he can run any other track besides that one but he can run that one. I have been battling him pretty hard for a while but just don't have the punch to stay with him.

I have been putting alot of thought to upgrading machines, just I don't know. Kinda have my 5th kid on the way, my sons busting wide open on his season, and of coarse all my daughters have rides. I can swing another, wife just won't agree with it. But would get over it.

I would like one of those C-dales. I think if I can battle with all those guys on the kota I should be able to do well on a C-dale. Maybe I should look into a EX. I'm not sold on the Z400 yet, whats your take on them.

Not to take any off your win, that is a very good win against track favorites. It just lets me know that all the good I've done this year is because of weak compotition.

I have a stock 400ex,it was good for awhile but I felt I was going to have to get alot of work done to the motor to keep up with the compition
and then still have to get chassy parts and suspention.Thats why I got the dale, the motor has more power than I will ever use.All I had to get is chassy parts to make it wider.

The z seams on par with the honda from the little ride I had on one.
It pulled alittle harder but didnt feel as comfoftable. It felt tall.

If we ever can hook up somewere I will let you take my dale for a ride.

I just got off the phone with kip a lil bit ago. He seamed to agree with me on the way I could beat you. I figure we could race at gonzales. After I turn the corner from the stutter bumps and you going the other direction where the track comes close together, I could throw a bolder at you knocking you off the speed and hopefully keeping you down a while so I could lap you, lol.

No I talked with him about a possible C-dale purchase. I would rather try to get the one josh is on when it comes up for sale than try for a new one. I'm not sure yet, it's all timing.

I put the lakota up for sale today and hopefully just unload it quick. When I get home thursday I'll start cleaning her up and see what will need to be done to make it a better sale. It's super clean, but I'll stick the mud flaps and all that back on and see how quick I can get rid of it.

I told kip I'd meet you all out at hammond sunday, but I forgot about telling my wife I would take her out to the lake sunday. Realy don't feel like telling a 5 month pregnent women that our plans are cancelled for yet another race. I'm sure you can understand that.

I'm probably looking at going to meet kip monday up at the shop and just start working on a purchase. Not sure how the details will work out and wich one I'll end up buying but you know how that goes.

I'll keep you posted.

I also will probably be at avvondale for sure tuesday night to let my son get some practicing in. looking at getting out for another practice as well, just not sure where yet. Bought him a new bike less than a month ago. He's doing good, but as you know seat time is everything.

Well just let me know what sundays like and like I said I'll be up at kips monday.

gaff
that raptor wasnt too bad but josh pulled farther away from him every lap. thay ran 2 heat races and the raptor was in the same heat as josh. josh pulled the holeshot and pulled farther and farther ahead of the raptor till the checkered flag and then in the pro class special ran first, josh second and the raptor was third. it was the one with he extended a-arms and all the other aftermarket parts. you ought to come out to hammond sunday and ride the cannibal. talk to you guys later.
