I have an 03 Speed with 2 hours on it. I came out to start it and all it does is turn over. Every once in a while it will pop real loud. No one has the right plug for it around here so I took mine out and cleaned it with no luck. I'm leaving on a 7 hour trip with it in the morning so I'm hoping I can pick up a plug and that will do it. Does this sound like a plug problem?

Make sure you have a fully charged battery. When the voltage drops the ECU shuts down. After that it should start right up.

Rmember push button quick once to prime and than push and hold for no more than 5 sec. DON't give it gas.

Yep ...Jbomb definitely the plug, I to just received my cannibal on 8/29 02 and with in about 1.5 hrs, mine fouled the plug. Since I was on a camping trip with the new bike. I tried to clean my plug also...does not work on these things. Finally I tracked down my local dealer and got some new plugs. I hated to do it , but I had to knock on his home door on a Sunday morning (great guy he was)saved our 3 day atving camping trip. This was my last resort as I had checked every possible place for these type of plugs...no luck. All said they could order but had no stock. I would just go to the closest C-dale dealer for the plug and save yourself lost riding time.
Have not fouled any more plugs since then with about 6-8 hrs ride time on it now. By the way, I love this thing "finally a true performance quad right off the dealers floor...go USA

I fouled mine back in January the day after I got it. My dealer was 3 hours away, and it was a Sunday. I cleaned the plug good and put it back in and I'm still running it in the quad today with no problems.

I picked up several spares but have yet to use one.

Another thing, my dealer also informed me that at around 6-10 hrs. that my quad may start to get rough on the idle and become harder to start. This is a result of a coating that is on the injectors that will eventually begin to wear off (kind of a break in thing) allowing the injectors to inject a richer mixture...as mine did. I took my Cannibal Flag in today to have the injectors recalibrated. The tech person said this will solve the rough idle, hard start, and stalling. Said it would be ready by tomorrow...like I said before (good guys),

also reason #2 for a trip to the dealers...kind of embarrassing. I was performing my first recommended oil change for both the engine and tranny. The engine oil change went as planned but when I went to drain the tranny I could not get my drain plug to break loose. Well I ended up in teaching my sons lessons in how to properly strip the head off the drain bolt. Yes, I used a good wrench and proper size and turning it the correct direction (counter clockwise to remove) but simply could not get it to break loose, ending in the stripped head. I was really aggravated as I read in the C-Dale manual that it should have been torque at 6 ft.lb. So either MR. He-man or a crazy with an impact gun installed this plug from either the dealership or the C-Dale assembly line. Anybody else experience this??

I did ask the dealer/tech person about this and he said to just bring it down and that he would fix it and has plenty of x-tras (drain plugs) in stock....mmmm and that I was not the first to have this problem. I really didn't get into it much with him about it has he is willing to fix it and didn't make too much fun of me for doing it...great guys once again.
hope this helps Text

First off check on the plug at Autozone. That's were I used to get mine for my quadracer, I'm sure they carry them. If it is ineed the same plug as the cbr900 rr then the stock number that Autozone would use is 7502.

I (along with others here) have had problems with the tranny plug. I got the updated one. I hope it fixes the problem.
