I have a 2003 cannibal with the toaster exhaust. I want to get better exhaust, to add power, but am worried about decibal levels - me being from California.
Is the titanium 4 exhaust on the Moto worth it? Is this setup quieter than say the HMF or Graydon pipes? Does it have a spark arrestor?

Yes, it's worth it. You will need the entire system, head pipe and all. It's def. quieter than my Big Gun and a HMF. Has a nice deep tone to it, and it does come with a spark arrestor.

How does the FMF titanium 4 stack up against the others (HMF, Trinity, etc) performance wise?

Good Question. I'm sure, from what I've heard, that the HMF will give more performance.
Has anyone gone from the Titanium4 to a different exhaust? COuld you tell a difference?

You can buy the T4 silencer but you will not beable to get the connector or the header pipe from anyone except Cannondale and there price is from memory $300+ for the header pipe that's because FMF quit makeing them about 3 months ago. and if you have the toaster you will need the head pipe......

I got the HMF full and that's a hell of a differance and it screams and I mean LOUD>

Yeah, I got a quote of around $700 for the complete T4 unit from Cannondale. (can't get them from FMF....it's a C-Dale exclusive)I wonder if in-fact the T4 is totally competitive with the other brands, but so expensive that people just don't buy them.

If that is so, then why does Rocky Mountain ATV have the silencer and both stainless and titanium head pipe listed in their catalog for 2001-2002 FX-400's....I'm assuming they meant cannondale quads...

thats not the head pipe, thats the connector pipe to attach the silencer to the stock headpipe. The stock headpipe was changed when they started using the toaster and nobody makes a connector pipe or a slip-on for the new headpipe yet.

I was told that the only silencers that would be quiet enough to be legal in California is the new "Q" series that a lot of the companies are coming out with. Also my dealer said a Blaze would not pass the test. I can't confirm any of this, I'm just passing along what I was told.
